Most definitely not. It is about the great Shona or Bantu kings that inhabited the once-powerful city. He even refers to their courtiers accompanying the ruler as he appears. He is described wearing the attire they wore. They ruled during the medieval times from 900 to 1500 or so.

Is there a story about a 'real' or 'perceived' ghost of Zimbabwe? I'm curious about the origin of this song. Just from the lyrics it could make a very interesting movie. I stopped movie-going before the latest flue virus, because they just weren't interesting. With the right Producer, Director, and script writer, ... well, I'd go see it.
