Back in the 80’s when Disney wasn’t doin so hot they were talking about getting rid of Sleeping Beauty walkthrough. It was super low budget. For example, Aurora following the light to the spinning wheel was a xmas light in a cotton ball on a stick. Locals could not let it just vanish so, we started a petition at Disney City Hall to save the walkthrough. It worked! I’m so pleased to see it not only still there but, updated and, you guys found it! Much blood, sweat and Mickey ears went into keeping it there.
@pandemonium2744 жыл бұрын
What I love about you two is that you are so genuinely enthusiastic about the ambiance of the place you visit, not just the main point of being there, if that makes any sense. I too, for example, love the Sleeping Beauty Walk Through. It is so unsupported by most guests at Disneyland. You both give such great perspectives, even of places I have already been to. Cheers!!!

Your laughingly glee when riding the Matterhorn Bobsleds proves you’re experiencing something special, found ONLY at Disneyland, Walt’s true and original dream park. Walt’s footprints are forever left indelibly all over Disneyland, it was HIS place, and he had his own apartment for him and his family over the firehouse. When I am at Disneyland, I feel “Walt”; at the other properties, I feel it’s Disney-Pixar-Corp, and there’s a great big difference. Given the basic theme of your channel, this seems to fit all together.

I went to Walt Disney World twice. And had dinner in the castle as payment for babysitting on the trip. It was such a nice time. We had metal goblets to drink from. I still remember how cold that metal was on my hand. It was icy. And I had German Chocolate Cake at Epcot. That Cake was HUGE! It seemed like it was a foot high. With a cherry on top. It's been thirty plus years and I still remember that Cake. Yummmm.

We are going to Disneyland next month for 2 days. I went once when I was a about 12 but barely remember anything about it. I actually remember more about my family driving to California from Iowa than I do actually being there. This time, I am mostly excited for the Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain! It will also be a bit sad because last time I was there was with my family as a kid and now my dad is gone, my brother and I don't speak, and my mom is very ill. I'll be thinking my both parents the whole time, but not in a sad way, in a good way :)

What a great video. For a long time now I've been researching Disney for a visit one day, ideally both but trying to determine which one to visit first. I have been to DL and WDW but I was too young to remember. I won't be able to go probably for a few years at least (very expensively and from Australia) but I find it therapeutic to research & plan. This video is a fantastic look at DL.

When I went 5 years ago to visit my brother who was in the Navy in San Diego at the time. I couldn't figure out why everything seemed so much smaller because I was used to going to Disney World. My brother laughed and said well that's why its called Disney Land not Disney World. I felt like a stupid kid all over again. Brothers can make you feel that way even when I'm the oldest he always makes me feel like the baby of the family plus I'm the smallest so that doesn't help when you whole family and extended family is over 6ft and I'm 5'7 and small. Except my dad we were the same height he said we were the runts of the liter.lol

Disneyland needs more animatronic shows, and MK needs more dark rides. I grew up going to DL, but loved that there were more permanent shows at MK. DL used to have more shows, but now they're down to Lincoln and Tiki Room. MK has Presidents, Tiki Room, Country Bears, and Carousel. DL has Peter Pan, Snow White, Mr Toad, Pinocchio, Alice, Roger Rabbit, Winnie the Pooh, and Buzz MK has Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, the Little Mermaid, and Buzz... I'm not counting Seven Dwarves b.c it's technically not an all ages attraction. That's 8 rides vs 4... Major difference, but the shows definitely help balance that out in a way I guess. They are both great parks, but DL definitely has wat more charm overall. DL is usually more hectic though, and the lines seem and feel linger at DL when its crowded. The weather is way better at DL than WDW, but WDW has way more places to explore.

But the really weird thing is, that on two separate occasions I just happened to bump into two people that I knew from my own state and local about 1300+ miles away. I mean seriously....what are the chances of that??? :) And....I would love be able to get into "Club 33" in the New Orleans Square section. But I dont have $25.000 just for a membership.... :(

My son works for WDW my daughter works for universal, so going to WDW all the time it’s so hard (does that sound right?) . Universal is so much easier to get in to. 2 parks one entrance. I love Disney but the traffic, the boats, the long walks to entrance. I’ll do like one park maybe every 2 weeks, but I could never park hop like I used to I’m 46 , not getting younger. That’s why the OG Disneyland is on my bucket list, I have to get there....we might be out in CA in a cpl months - fingers and bones crossed ;) for Sony Sad Diego (love it there)-Hopefully we’ll get there then. I want to thank you and Jess AGAIN FOR ALL YOU GUYS DO, I have my mother watching you guys now, she’s 66, she’s a horror freak like the rest of us! Happy Halloween!😄🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃

On Jungle Cruise, things sure have changed. At least in the past, you could understand what the guide was saying. Disney taught tour guides diction and how to speak with clarity, and proper volume. Now, just like everywhere, you get the screaming, fast-talking mumble giggly girl who trips over her own tongue. Too bad, probably due to all the medication child psychiatrists are giving kids over the last few decades.
