Just Let Go. It’s been over a decade since the SDT ban. Counter Top is no more.

Lack of any pressure and lack of creatures in the main means any creature an opponent plays with even 1 power is a real threat to this deck. Being forced to swords a 2/1 e wit so it doesnt deal 20 damage to you is a problem

Kinda a good meta call w stompy where it is playing ring over initiative

One of Deprive to go with the sanctuaries would be sick.

One surveil land to enable predict off just a fetch seems right

Wouldn't need the baubles then as well, which could be an alt wincon or like, tef narset

Personally, I would go 1 Tundra -> 1 Volc, 3 Ominous Seas -> 2 Forth Eorlingas! + 1 Counterbalance (maybe?), then Argivian + Conj. Bauble -> 2 SCM. Eorlingas would've closed out the game many times, and SCM is potential CA + a clock of sorts. You could also swap out 1-2 SCM and/or the +1 CB for Mentor and free up some SB slots. Maybe those SB slots could go towards X Meltdown to deal with Saga tokens, which are an obvious weakness for this deck? Otherwise, this deck is pretty dope/slick.

I remember when Ominous Seas was printed there was a bit of Standstill testing. It didn't work particularly well, the card just isn't good. Myth Realised sorta does the same thing and has much better early game functionality ie. It can block.

@31:27 yes if you have even a few more seconds you could consign your own counterbalance trigger for prowess and win. The toll of narrating plays takes another match.

I also wouldn't hate to have a saga package w a needle to have like a tool kit.

A number of times you could have cracked a fetch for Mystic Sanctuary in response to a Counterbalance trigger, didn't, and they had something resolve. Any particular reason?

Shark Typhoon has to just be better than Ominous Seas, right?
@crucible_of_words7 күн бұрын
The idea of the list is to be so low to the ground that you operate on 2 lands perfectly well. So the Seas does fit that remit, although I'm not convinced tbh
@MrBelfering7 күн бұрын
@@crucible_of_words you can cycle them both for the same cost, recur them with both with that random white card, both pitch to Forces, and both are "finishers"... The difference to me is that Typhoon has some actual utility in just making a 2/2 or 3/3 blocker/attacker sometimes. And it's probably a better finisher if you ever do hard cast it.
@crucible_of_words7 күн бұрын
@MrBelfering well I like Shark typhoon and I think the Seas was pretty bad, so I'm with you tbh. The deck isn't mine though and Phil who built the deck is far more familiar with the ins and outs of the deck and why it wants different things.
