I wondered about the Grottan and the Vapra being related possibly, due to their hair color being nearly the same. Hard to say what happens to Deet, but if there's a season 2 soon, sure we'll find out.

Yes, first Rian fell in love with Mira but then he fell in love with Deet and then Jen was born and in the end of the movie Dark Crystal Jen merry Kira, because she is Brea's daughter and they are Vapra that Rian wanted to marry with Mira. And so Vapra, Stonewood, Grottan and Spriton are the main heroes in Dark Crystal franchise as the Togruta and Yoda's species are the Skywalker's symbols

Hay, just out of wonderment. I think for an additional lore for the grottan is they can produce a melodious like whistles which they can use as a form of echolocation for navigating the dark tunnels.

Yeah, they also invented their own version of Morse Code! Sounds turn into echoes within caves, so they adapted to hear the slightest sound and the smallest amount of light. ^^

good stuff! Grotten are the best clan. i might be slightly biased though, as i find them most interesting just because they're easier to pick out in a crowd of mixed Gelflings thanks to their unique physiology.

I've been reading the Dark Crystal Adventure Game: Could someone explain to me the "tap-code" they use? Is this in the Age of Resistance show? Is it mentioned in Lee's books? I am wondering if that was inspired by the "Smitty Harris Tap Code" used in the Vietnam War years ago.

It's a Bat. They're not shown with those alien caterpillars, but the bat is their animal. One if mine, as well! Love bats and love caves! All to easy to fall in love with this clan! ^^
