I'll give them credit for getting the likes of Browne, Samed and Mepham through the door cos those 3 are top quality additions so fair play, they were so close to having an almost perfect window but I still feel like they missed an opportunity again with either signing an experienced striker or a decent enough replacement for Clarke, better than last season's summer window in terms of more experienced signings and better calibre of players in certain areas but time will tell on the striker situation and life after Clarke long term

I think not keeping Bennette or at least getting a back up full back was a mistake tbh. I think this lad from Zenit is crucial as the other 2 lads are quite inexperienced.

Not to say Mundle is as good as Clarke but I think he's a solid replacement given our recruitment record with Tottenham players we've brought in.

Our like of strikers will cost us again this season, just a joke we’ve gone 4 windows without a proven out and out striker. If this squad does well it’s more good luck than good management. Let’s remember out of the 15 foreign signings he has made since he came in not a single one has cemented a place down in the first 11, not one

We have the best midfield in the league. We are not in desperate need of an experienced striker with 4 good up and comers in the squad. Keep the faith.

@@idontusetwitter we might not be desperate for 1 at the moment because of our great start however because of not signing that experienced striker again it means putting a lot of pressure on Mayenda and Isidor and also with Isidor we don't even know where he's gonna play yet, if it all works out great fantastic but not signing an experienced striker or spending money on a top winger to replace Clarke could still come back to bite us, I hope it doesn't and the early signs are promising and I am excited to see how far we can go this season but it's still a long season as well

We at least have multiple out and out strikers, who have decent goals per minutes in similar or slightly worse quality leagues, but not proven. Better than spending £10m like Birmingham. We have had Ekwah who was cemented into the team, so it’s disingenuous to say no one.

Have supported Sunderland for over 65 years and delighted with how they are playing at the moment. They look a real handful and sure many teams face them with trepidation with the flair and unpredictability they have in attack . Look so solid in defence and midfield as well : can see no weakness at all. Early days though !
