I can confirm that 4gb cards are pushing it. My 3050ti laptop card has the horse power to run most things, but vram fills up sometimes on ultra settings. Battlefield V for example runs great on high settings but absolutely dies on ultra when the vram fills up. (All at 1080p)

@@nickhowatson4745 no it doesn't, the performance for the 1660 ti and RTX 3050 is the same. The only advantage of getting 3050 over the 1660 ti would be the extra 2 GB of Vram and RTX and DLSS technology.

I LOVE MY EVGA 1660TI ❤️❤️❤️ I bought it in march 2019 and used it ever since, probably my best buy ever!! I use it on a Alienware monitor AW3821DW (that i scored for 450$) and i basically play at almost 4k. Forza on medium, RE2 and 3 medium, it handles them super well at 60fps minimum. Yes guys i dont play ultra of course, and i undervolted and overclocked mine❤️Doom eternal all low something medium around 55 fps, with the g-sync ultimate chip of the monitor its fantastic, it feels like 30% more fps for how smooth it is. This was the card to have the last 3 years in my opinion, best price/performance without rtx tax. Have fun gamers!

what values are you using? my 1660 Ti XC Ultra Black have this custom curve: @1980 mhz -0.943 mV, is the sweet spot for good temp and performance, usually does not exceed 60ºc

My 1660ti has been a great card. I got it about a year or so ago and it has ran everything I've thrown at it on max settings 60+ no problem, many of them 144+. Its no 3080 but its still a good mid range 1080p card.

It's an awesome card and you're right, basically any game is playable at max settings locked 60. In rare cases some games need a couple "Ultra" toggles off but from my experience it's usually open world games that require a lot of GPU power.

@@mrkennady Personally I consider any of the 3000 series high end. I always thought max settings 1080p 60fps was considered mid range, anything below that is low range and 4k is high.

@@mrkennady Gtx 1660ti is sort of a high end low end card basically one of the most powerful low end card ( I think the rtx 3050 is the most powerful low end card ) Rtx 2060 is the lowest midrange and everything that falls under the Rtx 3060ti is midrange ( if it is better than the rtx 3050) rtx 3070 or rx 6700xt and anything with similar or better performance is probably high end.

1660 Super has the same memory bus, but higher bandwidth, same as 2060, which could compete with the Ti in a way, especially with the SC models.

If you overclock the Super's memory, you actually meet the performance of the TI. I push the memory to around 7800-7900mhz, depending on the game and stability.

I have this card. It's a pretty powerful middle-of-the-road option. 1080P on high to ultra on most games. VR on medium (usually) That being said, I'm looking at the 3060 TI right now for an upgrade. When I can find one, that is.

Hey, man don't aim down sights in close-quarter combats like in hear 13:50 , try to hit the targets without aiming down sights it will be hard in the beginning but when you get the hang of it. It will save you from a lot of sticky situations.

i use a 1660super it can run forza at ultra may drop in some intense area doom eternal 120fps+ in ultra and ultra nightmare setting. 70 or 80+fps in resident evil8 1080p high

I've had my MSI 1660ti since 2020 and the previous owner had it since launch. It's been pushing along just fine and in userbenchmark I've been getting 73% performance paired with a 3600 and 16gb of ram. I run 1080 at medium/high settings just fine through Xbox game pass.

Oh yes, as long as you are willing to use high / medium instead of ULTRA QUALITY this card plays games just fine. And since only now due to the crypto crash graphic cards prices are getting more within reach... these cards are a great choice if you can get your hand on one.

I bought a 1660Ti second hand few months ago. Plays every game I want at decent FPS. But I don't play many graphics intensive games and it looks like it can't run DL2 at 60+ fps so I wouldn't recommend this card if you play many graphics-intensive games. It runs RDR2, Elden Ring and CB2077 at 60fps medium-high, but graphics-intensive games in the near future might be hard to play at 60+ fps. So yeah, if you can find it for cheap and don't play many graphics-intensive games, it's a good card. But if you want more power, buy something better like a RX 6600 or RTX 3060 if you can get it for a good price.

It depends on the game. I was playing DL2 with 1660 super on high settings but only lowering fog and reflection to medium and I had 50-60 fps probably most of the time because I haven't experienced any problems with aiming without checking fps. CB2077 runs good on high but only if you use ultra preset then it's getting a bit harder to aim 35-50 fps. Elden Ring on max settings also felt playable more than enough. It also depends on your preferences. Personally I have no problem playing games with 40+ fps. I don't really need 60 fps all of the time. In this video a few games were running with 70-80 fps like far cry 6 and so on. I don't really see a point playing like this so I would definitely increase the settings.

I just built a new computer with a 11 gen processor and I'm currently running a GeForce 1050th.with 4GB of ram. The build kind of broke the bank but moving up to a 1660 is I guess holding back the performance. I did try a AMD 6600 8 GB but was causing some of my games to lock up the computer. Put back my 1050ti and everything ran fine. So I'm thinking of going with a GeForce 3050 8 GB. I find that Nvidia works better with games than AMD.

Just got a 1650 laptop last month, well not a huge gamer, i don't play too much competitive games like warzone or apex legends, also graphically intensive games like dying light 2, valhalla or rdr2 Many newer games runs fine at 1080p medium or even high settings sometimes at 30 or even 60fps Older games easily runs, so cranking up the settings to max is fine. Most of the time it's 30fps but it doesn't bother me But i can see that even at medium settings 4gb vram is almost getting utilised fully
