Our Pyrs also believe that squirrels are not to be trusted! It's a daily battle of wits and wills, they run across our wood fence and I think they're just teasing the dogs.

Have seen a lot about your amazing dogs but have not seen any where they sleep on their back….my GP does all the time with legs akimbo and it is adorable. Since she is our only dog I was wondering if any of your dogs sleep like this as it leaves them in a vulnerable position?

Yes each one sleeps on their backs at different times.

Well, as you allude to, that does not look like the usual skwirl territory. But I reckon they are fairly ubiquitous. Your pack would have made short work of him if he had fallen amongst them!

The ground squirrels do live around here and they make burrows in the soil, but we very seldom actually see them.

I think he or she was a ground squirrel, yes. And absolutely I didn't want any harm to come to the squirrel. I bet it's really awesome to rescue baby squirrels.
