Hello I’m new to your Channel and I’m so glad about that💕… You won me over with Your review of this book. I just finished it..actually this morning and I Strongly dislike it..but I thought I was being to harsh with my GOODREADS review and I realized I wasn’t being harsh enough.. I’m a huge Agatha Christie fan and felt duped… this book wasn’t even close to any Agatha Christie that I’ve EVER read.. Thank You so much💕🥰… I’m excited about being a new subscriber

Welcome aboard! And thank you so much for the kind words. I think this is the worst book I've read in years. Glad I'm not the only one. 😊

I agree the characters are unpleasant and bad-tempered. I did not know that Agatha Christie inspired the author which makes me reconsider how I feel about the book. Because I didn’t think of Christie while reading it, proves your point. It never occurred to me! Good review.

Thank you Leigh. I should clarify that I don't know if the author was inspired by Christie, but in the many articles I read they indicated it was reminiscent of Christie's And Then There Were None.

I also thought to myself, “People compared THIS to And Then There was None?!?!?!?!?”

I completely agree with you on this book - I was trying ton listen on audio - kept losing myself and finally, about half way through, returned to library.

I was wondering when you were speaking if you would keep this book and wondering what you do with books you dislike. I was glad you mentioned you didn't want it in the house. It doesn't deserve a place on your shelf. Now you have me interested in reading the Agatha Christie book. I read some of her books and enjoyed them. Your sweater is beautiful by the way. Take care.

😂 I do not want either of her books in my house. Not when I have limited shelf space anyway. Agatha Christie is well worth it. I think I appreciate her even more now that I'm older. Thank you so much for the compliment. ❤

I’m wondering, if you read this book without expecting to read a murder mystery, would you have like it more? Don’t get me wrong, I have not read this book or any Agatha’s books but I know I would’ve been as angry as you if I was in your place.

It's a good question, but I think I can confidently say no. Her characters were awful and such superficial stereotypes, the jumping around in the timeline and characters was extremely irritating. However, my expectations certainly made me hate it more than I otherwise might have.

There are way too many books out there to spend time and money on drivel. I have seen a couple reviews about The Paris Apartment. The one that stands out in my memory said she totally missed the mark about living in Paris.

What a shame. But "And Then There Were None" is a tough act to follow. I read a recent Ruth Ware which tried to do similar and it was Meh. Have you read any Ngaio Marsh not a new Author but a sure bet.

Very true, Nathan. I haven't tried Ruth Ware, but will. I've been meaning to read Ngaio Marsh, so thank you for the reminder!
