The SJ also has braces tucked under the kerfing as opposed to the J45 where the braces are against the kerfing. Both are very nice guitars.

I have one and love it... also, remember it has the Mother of Pearl - Parallelograms vs. Dots on the J-45. Great Review, it helped me buy it.
