In 1999 I bought her book and lost 20 lbs. It seems like she started out humble and sane, but she succumbed to pride and greed. In her later days she looked absolutely freakish. My heart goes out to those people who were hurt.

Yes, classic story. Having money and a following of worshippers led her to feeling powerful. Leading to control. Leading to disaster. God was no longer HER leader. Sad for the hypnotized people. God was humble, with no possessions. Why do people forget this.

@@reginabraam6212It's amazing what you forget when you get caught up in sin and idolatry. When the Israelites were with Moses in the wilderness, they complained that at least in Egypt they sat around and ate meat and veggies from pots as though they had been living the good life, totally forgetting that they were slaves and treated cruelly.

I have a friend who left Remnant church. She and her husband actually moved to another state to get out. My friend said that if Qwen had told the church to drink the Kool-aid, she believed that at least 50% of the people who went to Remnant church would actually drink the Kool-aid.

I actually did the program and lost weight. I read her books and went to classes. She seemed pretty sane in the beginning. It’s basically listening to your body and eat only when hungry and you will lose weight naturally. It is sad that she went off deep end and got into false teachings, etc. she had to have been anorexic to be much thinner than her original program shows. Sad that so many lives were lost but only God knows why….

You shouldn't be ashamed. I followed her program back then and actually got good information from it. Like stop eating when you are full. Don't eat again until you are hungry. Etc. Eat small portions. Practical stuff. And I wonder if she was OK in the beginning but gradually got more and more off track. It's obvious that the enemy is pushing high profile Christians into deception to ruin the Christian image of the church.
