The reason a cold shower in the morning is effective is because, like you said the first step out the door is the hardest and then everything else is easier. You take that cold horrible shower, and then everything else in the day feels like a breeze. Pun intended. This allows you to love the rest of the day
@lifeform1064 жыл бұрын
I understand why it is important, but the problem is keeping on track. I was able to do it for a few days and eventually the motivation goes away because the body gets tired of it. So I wish someone would tell me how to stay track
@dragongemgaming82944 жыл бұрын
@@lifeform106 That's the whole goal. You have to build that track for yourself. Ok, I'm going to come home from work/school and cold shower; cold shower cold shower cold shower. And eventually, you will end up saying. shower. it will become rythym. I haven't had a cold shower in a while but that's only because I live in Canada and I'm outside in the cold a lot of the day. Its like making yourself read every day, or write every day, or study every day. You have to make yourself do it no matter what. You can always have off days because you want to have a nice warm calming shower. But make sure you have the strength to go back to cold the next day.
@AK-ox3mv4 жыл бұрын
@@lifeform106 attach it to something bigger. For example if you will go to the gym, knowing that cold shower will improve immune system that is responsible for muscle growth, you will do it. Now why go the gym, it can be a intrinsic need, like looking nice in front of girls in society, or taking cheer from friends and family,... There is no perfect system in the whole universe,that's why we can't have every skill that we need or every good habit that we love to have. Just follow a healthy/productive goal, then do other things to be more productive in reaching that goal. Congratulations, you made a life style that most people can't As Arnold Schwarzenegger said, focus on process and enjoy it. Every step will reach you closer to your goal.

Definitely, it’s getting so expensive to move out nowadays, I’m 23 and just moved out from my parents’ house. I couldn’t have done it on my own, I could only do it because my gf and I moved into a place together, 2 incomes making it possible. If I wasn’t moving in with her - I definitely couldn’t have moved out, just because financially it wasn’t viable. And that’s with me having a good stable job, not on probation.

“The first step out of the door Is the hardest.” I don’t typically find this to be true for me personally. That ‘first step’ into something new is often backed up by my good intentions and a bunch of motivation. It’s many steps after…when the motivation starts to dwindle and I just don’t feel like doing whatever it is that day… Those are the hardest steps for me to take.

This was a great commentary on the habit-building space of self-development; not enough people talk about this! I also believe you should focus on building habits that make you feel fulfilled and truly happy (habits that build your long-term happiness), not just try to do everything that you think you “should” be doing. Well done!

Hi Liam, well done for passing the exams and getting your place at Chance. I was seriously never going to consider Law before watching your videos as I was so scared of failing and I'm a person that has to work hard to get good grades. Your videos are so inspiring. However, I've just seen the new route to qualifying as a solicitor which is the SQE. I start my course next 2021. Does this mean I still need to take the SQE exams even after GDL, or can I still take the old route, as in GDL, LPC training contracts to qualify as a I really want to take the GDL to get proper training and education but if it's not essential anymore what is the best option? Does Chance still take the old know and May still wants the GDL, but is this the same with I'm also applying to Chance in the future
