Modern Muslims have everything wrong about marriage. Imam Ali Khan is right on this, culture has taken over religion. Pakistani, Indian and Bangladeshi people have the most absurd views of marriage. Men and women can’t talk to get to know each other , marriage must be arranged, daughters must be married in order, man must be rich before he proposes, woman must be several years younger etc. Many Arabs also think you can only marry Arabs of the same village. This is all ridiculous. May Allah guide our ummah to the straight path
@aloomilk63263 жыл бұрын
I agree but my family is Bengali but they reversed it and defied their own culture as this is wedding system is just satanic because if I was forced to marry a woman I do not want to marry then my marriage is batil (Invalid).

I think that there's a huge misunderstanding if that topic in the Ummah. When Muslims refer to "Halal dating" they usually mean a way of getting to know the other person in a halal and respectful way and then marrying them. Unfortunately people don't know that the very definition of "dating" however means to do things a married couple does with each other without being married which includes multiple dates, intercourse, intimacy, maybe living together, etc. So if a scholar says that all dating is haram, those who don't know the actual definition of dating, assume that one has to see someone, ask their father for permission and then marry them all on the same day or some absurd thing like that. May Allah (s.w.t.) guide us to the right path.
@tahsinahera67186 жыл бұрын
i am totally agree with u...parents should understand us when we are willing to marry someone...bcz we don't want to be happy by haram means! pls parents,do understand! people will do haram things when they do not get that in Halal ways...so do understand ur child..teach him what is right what is wrong in his childhood and let him choose his partner by his choice at adult age...he has the right to choose anyone of his choice,dear parents,thats not ur right to force ur son to marry of ur choice bcz ALLAH(SWT) Has given everyone to choose his partner only by their own choices,dear parents,ur right is to teach him QURAN And Sunnah by any mean in their childhood so that they can choose a rightous and religious partner by himself at adult age

How halal dating works today: 1.We can talk to the opposite gender with her observer to get to know her 2.then she goes to her parent and tells her parents about the potential of marriage with her parents 3.Man meets her parents and eventually proposes to her If it doesn’t work During talking to each other with the observer any of you can stop the “date” and tell each other why you think your not compatible If you don’t like his or her parents you can cut off then but it is more serious The most serious remarriage is during or before a Nikah try avoiding this as much as possible Rules No flirting during “dates” go as friends that are trying to find compatibility in each other innocently No physical contact (that includes hugging, kissing etc, they are not mahram) Make marriage easy for each other and for yourself

Uuhhhh, yeah this has been one of the things that has always stump me. Some people say to be respectable friends with her first (and not be alone with her in a private space), others say to arrange a mahram to be with you while having meetings with her. Okay some of these things are definitly Islamic and other things are cultural, having a tough time trying to differentiate from the two. (i also just realised that Mahram in my case means I can pretty much bring any guy with me, like a friend or her Mahram around, doesn’t have to be family member). The way I’ve planned to do it at the moment (I havn’t really thought it through since muslims here are a minority - I’m in New Zealand), is to regain relations to the Ummah here, shamefully I’m not that well integrated to my Ummah here. I have tried to become friends with the few Muslim boys from over seas, but there was a language barrier and they were a lot happier spending time with their own fellow ethnic people there. While my ethnic minority are mainly Muslims too, and we have a close little community with them (we’re all Maldivians if you’re curious), unfortunately the girls there aren’t really practicing the deem at a level I’d be happy with. Pretty yes, decent character yes, but I don’t see it working. Sorry, off topic there. Plan was to get back into contact with fellow Muslims and make myself decently known to the, and see if there’s someone I’d be interested in. But right now I don’t see that working. So right now I’m just going on with my own life and trying not to worry about it too much, though I hope I do get married before I die or before the next major sign of the last hour comes (Malhama). Otherwise if I happen to survive that and the next major signs after that (The Dajjal then Gog and Magog), I’d like to get married then. Marriage completes half your deen afterall. But, only Allah knows what he’s written down for me.

I hope this will be an eye opener for the parents who choose the spouse for their children based on the society's sake and not for Allah's sake. People have their own likes and dislikes so they have the freedom of choice when selecting their own spouse. Allah has made marriage easy but it's the parents who make the marriage difficult. This is is the same scenario especially families from the Asian subcontinent. Apart from the Character and the Deen (which is highly important for a spouse), all the other features are considered like looks, education, money, property, caste, nationality etc. This eventually leads to the failure of the marriage and we can see the number of divorce cases rising rapidly. May Allah forgive and guide us all. I sincerely ask Du'a to Allah that He grants all the Brothers and Sisters with a pious and righteous spouse, who would fill their life with goodness and happiness, both in this Duniyah and Akhirah. Allahumma Ameen, Ameen Ya Rabb.🤲🤲

There's no such way but Allah (swt) keeps sending us signs when we're in need. Also, there's a process called Istikhara in which you pray a 2 rakaat and sleep and you get a dream from Allah. Istikhara is done when you're stuck in a decision and want Allahs help.

Usually a dream doesn't come, it's a sign or a gut instinct. For example if there's a job offer than your not sure whether to take or not, you do istikhara and the next day you find out that they are moving the company and relocating an hour away from where you live then thats a barrier that has been placed to show you not to take the job offer. Or you want to marry someone and you do istikhara and after doing it you have a gut instinct that you shouldn't marry this person.
