Just to add to the verse on leadership. Men are the leaders by default but, it also applies to women. Women is part of the leadership in a family & in the absence of her male relatives & husband, she's a leader to her children. She can be a leader to other women. If she possess a certain expertise/knowledge, she can be a leader in her field. She can be part of the leadership committee even if she can't be King or President. So my sisters, this aayah applies to both men & women. Tonnes of examples from our Prophet's wives, his daughters, and the women of his time.

Sometimes I look at this world and wonder if I'm just supposed to meet my wife in Jannah, because everyone seems so astray from the straight path and I don't know where I can find a wife, a proper one at that. But at last it's up to Allah and he knows when the time is right, sabr, and he can do what seems impossible to me. I also don't want to waste a woman's time by just being with her because I can't find anyone I like.

Allahu Akbar! Sadly, a lot of believing women are being overlooked as marriage prospects. So, i'm happy you stress the importance of choosing a believing Muslim. Also, Rasulullah (saw) married not only young women, but older women as well. His 1st wife, Khadijah (ra), mother of the believers, was 15 years his senior and Saudah (ra), his 2nd wife, was approximately 5 years older than him (saw). There are a lot of beautiful, mature Muslim women who are being left to waste away their golden years because all the brothers only want young women. This is not the example left to us by Muhammad (saw). I will turn 69 soon bi'ithnillah and have not been married once since i took shahadah nearly 30 years ago. This is not how i saw my life when i joined the fold of Islam, but Allah (swt) is the best of planners. Allahu Akbar!

I promise you the worry is not serving you in any way akhi. There’s no such thing as marrying the wrong person, your Wife has been already decreed for you.
