My theory as to why Gordon was spared is that the Half-Engine only goes after those who mock her appearance, as that's what drove her to madness. Gordon only said he didn't believe she existed, so I think she charged him as a warning. Something along the lines of, "I am very real. Disrespect the legends, and they will come for you."

What I have no idea, she was a Terrier and Seeing as I am using Terriers (Locomotive and Dogs) for my own logo, I am shocked. Stroudly would of been the only one that could have helped her, may someone write a happy ending for her. Ghosts are in my opinion are imprints much as in Pottermore, but when you are in a world of living trains, they are surely more. This makes my character Blake Stone look tame and his face is literally riveted together, being a Toy train in a world of living toys. Granted he is far from innocent in how he gets the way he is.

Definitely one of the most disturbing Thomas fan stories I’ve ever heard, anyway I really liked the remake! it has that sort of uneasiness just watching it! I’ve rarely been scared by a story like this one especially the scenes where the engines and the coach get sliced in haif! Fantastic remake it really did scared me with the haif engine charging towards Gordon as well as the unsettling atmosphere and it didn’t help that I had the lights off

I watched the original audio story again a few days ago, then this appears in my recommended tonight. An all-round effing brilliant adaption of one of the most demented stories to come out of this fandom. And bloody hell, the model of the Half-Engine's ghost is the cherry on top. Props to everyone involved here: the atmosphere, pacing and editing were all pitch-perfect, to say nothing of the voicework, music and sound effects. Defo one of the top 10 Halloween stories to come out of this fandom this year, along with The Killdane Experiement, 10'O Claw & The Token. (Fellow horror film fan here BTW; my fave film of the genre - and one of my fave films of all - being Stanley Kubrick's The Shining. Cliched choice I know lol)

Very well executed! Im highly impressed by the custom half engine models. Beautifully horrifying modeled faces, not just a flat texture. The voice acting was also very well done. Nice touch with the soft cries in the distance long before she shows up. Was that the amnesia “suitors” theme playing during her attack? Sounds familiar. Nice choice regardless. Superb camera work too. I had to watch this one a couple times. I hope we get to see more of this half engine in the future. Seems a shame for her to only get one appearance. One small criticism. While she sits idle out of the shed… “singing”? Perhaps an “idle” expression in contrast to her “attack” expression would have been a touch more fitting. And perhaps sitting sorta tucked away amongst some trucks or inside a dark shed rather than in plain sight. Beyond that, wonderful work. I will be watching your carrier with great interest 🎃 Edit: im also a major fan of the horror genre. I certainly hope you will continue to play and experiment with this genre!

Am I the only one that thinks it would be interesting to see the Half Engine (Who I've given the headcanon name of Hannah) encounter Stepney? She might be angry that Stepney came out as a perfect terrier, or she might be saddened and see Stepney as what she could've been if she was built correctly.

It would be spooky.

she definitely wouldnt go after stepney. her story seems pretty cut and dry that she only goes after those that "wronged" her (like the engine who was taking her to scrap) or those who outwardly mocked her appearance since thats what drove her insane to begin with. you could also very much suspect thats why she let gordon go. gordon didnt mock her appearance, he just didnt believe she was real. so by charging at him and going after the coach instead, she shows her power and her existence becomes undeniable. pretty much like a warning of "NOW you know im the real deal, so watch yourself from here on out."

This was amazing. The music, the models, sets, and how you were able to make the half engine and the green engine cut in half. The Half-Engine's attack on Gordon was terrifying. I also love how much the engines' crew is involved in this story. It adds a sense of realism. It's amazing how far you've grown in the Trainz and Thomas community in such a short time. I'm looking forward to what you've got next. Last thing. Are you going to do a sequel to this, or will the engine just appear as a recurring or guest character in future stories? Maybe you could do one where she meets her brother Stepney and finally finds peace.
@houseofthesupermen377 Жыл бұрын
It would be a shame to let the model go to waste. Also, is this story free to adapt? Because I'd like to do my own RWS/AU version of this. I feel this story would do best in 1925 as only five engines really are present throughout it, the same as it would be in 1925 just after James and his stories happened. One critique I have of this story is that it switches from James to Gordon as the main character. I'm not blaming you if you adapted this, but I feel it should've opened with James going home and seeing the engine. It would've lessened the focus off him because as it stands, it seems like it switched main leads pretty fast. I do like that Thomas is telling the story for a change.
