I came across A Tribe Called Red today while searching the internet for audio files of Native American chants, and WOW, I love everything about this music and culture!! Thank you very much for the free album!
@trentstandingrock516 Жыл бұрын
Don't search for "native American chants" that's so colonizer..lol. Look up "round dance songs, pow-wow songs, native American contest songs, jingle dress songs" or if you're into what they call "native American peyote songs". Or you could search by the name of the tribes, "Kiowa songs, Cree songs, Cheyenne songs or even Cherokee songs". There's some awesome music to be "discovered".. 😂😂

The Euros only have to "worry about" Muslims because the Euros have spent so much time, particularly over the last 100 years (but further back than that as well) murdering people who live in Arabia (now known as the Middle East) and Africa (where a significant number of Muslim practicing tribes have existed since they were a part of the formation of the Islamic faith), and displacing them for the purposes of furthering the European agenda. Palestine is one of the most mistreated countries in history, and its people have been displaced on multiple occasions. In Israel, the native population of Hebrews has been displaced for not being of European Jewish descent as Europe and America have continued to utilize Israel to accomplish a take over of the entire region. Of course, that is also glossing over the fact that not every Arabian is Muslim, AND the so-called terrorist groups such as ISIS/Al-Qaeda (among others) were, and still are, created, funded, and trained by America and European military branches. Since most of the fear about Muslims revolves around groups such as ISIS and Al-Qaeda, it is patently clear that the fear is manufactured and rooted in a profound misunderstanding of European and American activities in foreign countries (particularly those that are called home by primarily people of color), and the tenets/teachings of Islam. Which you will deny with something that is likely to be purposely insulting (albeit based on your incredibly limited knowledge of me and my views/life story, making it also likely that your insult will fall flat), and dodges anything resembling productive sharing of ideas, knowledge, and thoughts. The Crusades were a gross period of time which Christians continuously brush off as if it was insignificant. Bravo to you for encouraging it, though, should definitely help create more peace and harmony.

The children have been left to raise themselves on most reservations, IF THEY SURVIVE THE ABUSE AND NEGLECT OF THEIR "ELDERS.". It's a miracle I survived after my mother and father were murdered. My grandfather was a "halfbreed" and product of rape from Rosebud. My native "family" won't acknowledge me.... I'm not "pure" enough. Thanks for the "Love".

I love not just the beats, but the message. The message is important. I love the visuals. I love the narratives. I love the hope you inspire and keep alive. I love that you are able to create something so unique and beautiful. I'm not Indigenous, but I think anyone with an open mind can realise music, a manifestation of our common humanity at the core transcends all. And listening, really listening allows you to appreciate a little of everything.
