It’s too bad the Dart Zone Solo is so much down there, it’s super fun to flip around and use, and its performance is fantastic. The only downside is it’s hard to aim.

I can definitely see the benefit in it folding open too so you can load the dart straight in the back of the barrel

You can put a sight on the solo though. It looks hilarious but doing so does show how ridiculously straight it actually shoots. It also shoots a bit harder than the hamster. At least mine clearly does, dont have a chrono or anything but I have to aim up more with the hamster at a distance. And depending on the darts I sometimes get flyers with the hamster which doesnt happen with the solo either. Here in the netherlands I can get the solo for 17 euros and the hamster for 20 euros so the solo is a better deal here.

In the US, the Max Solo is $2 cheaper, nearly identical size when folded, hits harder, has tactical rails and is more fun to use with the flip action. The prime of the Max Solo is slightly easier than the Hamster. I would recommend the Solo over the Hamster even though both are fun to use.

Assuming the conditions for inference are met, at the significance level of alpha=0.05, there IS NOT convincing statistical evidence that slow loading yields significantly more fps than fast loading short darts, making fast loading the best way to use the stock hamster for fps. However, for the modded hamster, there IS convincing statistical evidence that slow loading yields significantly more fps than fast loading short darts, making slow loading the best way to use the modded hamster for fps. Side Note: The distributions of the data in this video are hardly normal with some having outliers and others being skewed left or right. A larger sample size would help a lot to reduce variation in these inferences.

@BradleyPhillipsYT to me it's not noticeable thickness wise, that giant unfoldable ring makes it worse on the hamster because the solo's one folds away, I'm sure someone will send you a solo if you ask nicely? I'm uk based so I deal with the same issues getting blasters, My solo is getting 140s out the box too. The hamster was barely getting 115 with mods and scraping to get 120 ramrodding them In the barrel further. Solo removes that need entirely also, like this hamster has all the flaws of a jolt but 3X the price.

Full lengths result in more friction and are slightly heavier and end up shooting around 80fps too.

Full lengths have no accuracy, and I don't think hobby (adult?) nerf uses them anymore. It's mainly a store bought nerf round for the kids blasters.

Cool, so modified it performs about on par with the dartzone solo. I might have to take mine apart as well, looks easier than I wouldve expected.... Ive broken a chopstick to be the same length as the barrel for full loads. It works great, is easily replaceable and doesnt take much space in your pockets.
