I remember growing up I resented my brother since my parents always compared me to him my whole life of how I wasn't like him, he is 11 years older than me. So I always did my best to try to best him at something he couldn't do, however during my last year of high school he had pushed me to do my best at school because he told me that I could get farther than he did cuz I was better than he was so it had got me to think if he believes in me than I can get out of his shadow. But when I graduated, my brother was the only member in my family who couldn't go since he couldn't make it but I remember getting a text from him once the ceremony ended. And all it said was, "I want you to know that I'm proud of you." And I started bawling because the person who I resented for years made me feel so happy because he told me that he was proud of me. It was the first time anyone had ever told me that they were proud of me and it hurt me so much because I never got the satisfaction of hearing that growing up because every time I did something it was always overshadowed by my brother. After that I threw away all negative feelings towards my brother and then strived to be my own person. And to me that was my happiest memory

My happiest time was before I became a latch key kid myself. I'd get to go home and catch toonami from start to finish. I was home alone so I wasn't supposed to go outside, but I totally did during the commercial breaks. I somehow never missed the phone calls to check up on me and I still got to play outside daily lol

So as a kid we had to live with my grandma for a long time because my farther passed away and we had to file for bankruptcy so we had no where to go and I just remember just staying up talking to my grandma and she would make some hot tea and she had an old nes which she loved so we would just sit around in her room playing it and enjoying my tea with her which was some of the founders memories I have from being a child and the reason Mario one is still one of my all time favorite games to this day so as far as found childhood memories go it would be just one of these days

My favorite memory of when I was little was when my parents surprised my little sister and I by taking us out of school early (we were like in first and second grade I thin) to go out to lunch and go see the incredibles movie. It was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed that memory a lot. Kids remember the little things that make them feel special, and some day if or when I have kids I want to do stuff like that for them too.

I can't exactly pinpoint the exact moment of happiness but the happiest period of my life is in my last year in high school. It was amazing. I went from a complete shunned loner when i enter high school to a more noteworthy member of the class by the end of it. I gained few friends that remains precious even till now and they were there during both sad and fun times. I also got the chance to forge a close bond of friendship with my crush and people kept praising us having great chemistry together though she ended up rejecting me and we got distant after that. It was bittersweet but the sweet part far outweighed the bitterness. I truly felt alive and not lonely anymore compared to before how i wanted to be alone and go to somewhere far away in a another world. There were plenty of dumb mistakes and decision i made that i wish i could take back from that time but part of me want it to just stay as it is in my memory, it wouldn't be that special otherwise. I bawled my eyes out the night we had a farewell party for our class. The first time i cried in a long while d haven't since then. If i could relive one day of my life, it would be the day of the farewell party, the moment i truly appreciate the gift known as life and cherish the bonds i have forged. After that life kind of went shit to be honest and still is somewhat but during this time I bonded with my family and truly comes to understand and appreciate them more and got the chance to do a bit of soul searching and found a purpose or goal in life i want to achieve. In it's own way this shit times contained some awesome moment that made me feel bliss as well so after i get through these turmoil i might end up looking back and appreciate these past few years of crap more since it's the period where i had the most growth as an individual.

I have alot of happy moments and I'd hesitate to call this my happiest but for some reason these are the memories I can actually 100% remember the way I felt and like almost feel the happiness that was in my head. Now it's not one moment but my moment would be the last day of every school year. It's not for the reason you might think I actually loved school alot, but every year on that last day I remember walking home (for some reason I'd always walk home the last day even though I never did the rest of the year) and I just remember the feeling of the sun on my face and my skin and just the utter joy I got from just the peacefulness of those moments and I dont know why but I can never remember feeling as vividly happy as then

Man I miss those times when I was a kid. Life just seemed so much better and even the smallest things could make me extremely happy but I can't really think of any particularly happy memories past the age of about 15 tbh. Happiest times in my life were probably Christmas as a kid and the only thing that comes to mind as an adult is watching One Piece tbh

I aways found interesting school stories like this, mainly because the school sistem on NA, maybe some places in EU, are really different from the one I grew up. This feeling os going to school in different seasons(tropical places are almost the same through out the year), with a feint snowfall, or autumn trees, hits really hard on me, its so cool.

One of the happiest moments of my childhood is getting a nintendo ds. I used to play games with my family and friends most notably mario party. We used to gather and play together every now and then and i just loved the joy of winning almost every time! fun times indeed. A Pretty fun memory of mine was my dad getting a naruto season for me, which was actually midway through the chunin exams, and i really liked that he did that for me. Christmas in my family was always special. We would wake up early and wait for 7am to roll around ( parents implemented a minimum sleep time) then wake our parents. After everyone was up we opened our stockings. After stockings we made appatizers and then my dad would put on his Santa hat. He then started his own version of keep away as he would read names wrong, hand gifts to the wrong person, or just hold it out of reach. This topped with the fact my mom made it a point to make at least one of us girls (I have 4 sisters) cry made and still makes Christmas memorable. The only difference now is dad resists less as most of us are adults and not above hurting him😈😈😜

it's hard to pick one moment, it's hard to remember a moment that wasn't intertwined with sorrow of some kind, but it's all the little moments between the hard times and it's one of those that comes to mind first, I needed to get away from the shit for a while, I was in the badlands at the time so I climbed and walked into the hills until all I could hear was silence and I ended up finding this on patch grass on the top of one of the hills and so, as I stood on this spot ,I looked up and I could see this vast valley, an expanse of wilderness and sky that seemed to stretch out forever, I felt the warm summer breeze and in that moment I knew that I was and would always be someone who only truly existed when alone because it was the only time I was free. I'm not sure if that counts as "happiness" but it sure as hell is the closest I've been to something most would describe as "happiness" .

Happiest so far was probably with my third ex. Now, normally people would pick their first one ( and she was fantastic as well, don't get me wrong there ) but with the third one i was distraught the most when it went out. Back to the happy part, even though she wasn't the most happy person to be around i still felt completely at ease and happy while near her. With the previous 2, we were usually doing things together and all but with the third one we would sometimes just sit down at the porch for an hour and it would feel just perfect.

It was almost Christmas there was no school and all of my friends really didn’t play video games, we all had consoles but never really played them. So we all usually went outside. It was foggy dark and early in the morning with just a bit a sunlight. We all basically ran the streets and no one could tell us what to do because most of our parents were at work. So we all used to go to this big dumpster in the back of our community and get cardboard wooden planks and all that. And we made ramps and tree houses all day and played manhunt until we all got in trouble and was forced to go back inside lol. Me and my family soon got evicted because of that but it was worth it because now it’s a awesome memory I have with my friends. P.S. we live in a better place, a house with a trampoline.

Damn, the story nearly brought me to tears during the part where he talked about how his dad showed up to the class. I remember that really innocent joy you'd experience as a small child. Even the setting of that day before a Christmas break where the school would be more empty, with an overcast day outside, it was all so relatable. I put this video on my watch later playlist in 2018, and only watched it now in January 2023. Not removing it from there now, its staying at the top of the playlist forever.

Mine was when my best friends Mom got a present for me it was Birthday. A 1st. edition Charizard Pokemon booster pack and she got my friend one to so he wouldn't be left out. He opened his first and got no Holographic. Mind you this was a 50-50% I thought in my that it would be crazy if I got Charizard and I opened it then smell the pack and then went through the first 4 cards and then I seen Charmilion at the top left corner and my heart cried and then when I seen it was a 1st. Charizard. I was so fucking happy the odds of getting was massive and 50-50 with my friends pack. I will never forget that ever. My friend started crying we were 10 Y/O he was sad because he knew that he should have got that pack but he wanted the Blastoise booster pack and I was happy just for the one pack. That was my happiest childhood moment..... I still have it P.S.A. 9.5. This is my One Piece!!!!

I have a few. Cliff notes because I don't have the ability to make videos: I got on the honor roll in middle school and my dad was so proud of me that he cried and i never saw that before. My parents sent me to summer camp in '03 for some reason and i was pissed but when i got back after 3 weeks my mom was like SURPRISE here's Legend of Zelda WINDWAKER!!! (Still my favorite Zelda to this day) My parents beating Cancer in '06. More recently was my proposal last December and in the very near future about a week and a couple months will be my wedding and my god i don't think anything will top that. Idk... if i had wishes... I'm pretty content with the life I've lived up until this point. If anything me personally, I'd wanna go forward and see what has yet to come. But I'd be the guy who wishes for immortality and when the sun blows up, just be the guy hurddling through space. (Oooooh call back to the Op Op Devil Fruit video!) Your vids make me pretty happy too Matt. The cringe is so cringe, its charming 😎🤙👍.
