Finally, someone shows the ZSU-57-2 in a good spotlight as an AA. This has been my AA for quite a while when I was grinding the Soviet tree and despite the fact everyone calls its AA abilities crap, I still found it to be pretty usable. Unlike other AAs, it's really only one shot you need to clear out the pest in the sky and if you ever practiced with main cannons for that, it's not a really heavy task.

I agree with all below statements. Its great as AA its great for anti tank yes its too to spawn CAS and i also agree people cry to much about the usage of aircraft. In the end a balance pass is required to make planes more less not a instant spawn when you assist in a kill or cap a zone, spookston did a speed run and showed you can have a air to ground kill in 1min 50 seconds. Disgusting!

@@IkeaShelf_ its the reason the PT76-57 or whatever its called is so disgustingly good. IIRC it has a 2 plane stabilizer and can float. not the fastest but that 57mm autocannon at the BR of that event vehicle is disgusting.

Too many and too high buildings can be a problem for AA as well. Some buildings are nice, but not too many 😉

Dude, I might get one kill per match. And I am frikkin stoked about that, if I get two I am super happy. More and I feel like a god, I do my best to be a good teammate. If someone is damaged I try to help with repairs, I try to cover teammates. Heck if I managed to capture a point, then it's good. Try not to get caught up in what you might have failed at, hype up the moments were you did something.

ZSU-57 have to be one of the most fun if not the most fun vehicle in that mid-top BR range.

I believe its because smaller caliber rounds from AA have a lot of velocity loss and drop, plus it get inaccurate in full auto, larger caliber ones like 37mm and onwards have these less severly and usually one or two hits are enough to destroy a plane

Complete the trifecta by playing the swedish zsu57-2 and bring in the sk60b for cas (I recommend gunpods instead of big rockets cuz it allows you to defend yourself against planes if your a decent pilot, they also slap like a 20 tonne truck)

Please play the Crusader 40mm AA! Not only is it hard mode AA with its single gun, but it's surprisingly fun in the ground role. Flanking and spanking Panthers in it never gets old.

My current favourite AA vehicle is the Ostwind II. It has a slower fire rate but it is still fast enough to not allow planes to fly between your shots. The damage done by it's HE shell is often a one hit kill too. You should take it out for a video sometime.

The idea of the anti-tank AA is the most genius and the most stupid thing at the same time (at least in war thunder). You team will spawn a Duster and run of to the nearest cap point, and will be gunned down by an I-15 while shooting at a T-34.

2:44: Don't you love it, when you shoot just for the hell of it and you get a direct hit? I still remember that one time I shot at a Hawker Hunter running away from me in my Me163 (30mm MK108) and one of, if not the, last shell completely disintegrates him. It just sometimes takes a few seconds for you brain to process that you actually hit. I had to look at the replay to process it. XD

Most people suck at AA because they are not patient enough ! THIS VIDEO is the prime example to ebing patient and not engaggin too far or too agressively is the KEY to perform in AA's

My general experience with these slower AAs is, i see CAS, CAS sees me, we both shoot and kill eachother, every other time i just dont hit anything 😂

btw, the m109 can be killed by a 57 mm HE from a zsu 57-2 i found that out by accident while playing a stock italian or sweden zsu 57-2
