A note that you'll never read, but the astel version of the meteorites is a shockingly good 'counterpart' to the azur comet spam since rather than being a huge amount of damage on a single target, it's a large amount of *PURELY PHYSICAL* damage over a large area, rather than the severely weaker normal meteor spell.

I mean it was stated that there was no victor, regardless of what people thing they both lost that fight. Radahn lost his mind and went insane while Malenia had to resort to pulling Miquellas needle out of her and be consumed by the Scarlett Rot. Gigachad with Gravity magic and swords almost as big as him, vs someone who lost most of their body to the Rot yet still was considered the mightiest next to Radahn.

@@hustlehumbly6169 Miquella is Malenia's brother, who was cursed with eternal youth. Malenia herself was cursed with harbouring the Scarlet Rot. Miquella, in trying to help his sister alleviate her curse, created an Unalloyed Gold Needle that has the power to stave off the influence of Outer Gods. Outer gods include the Greater Will, The Frenzied Flame, The God of the Dark Moon and the Formless Mother. Due to Malenia's Scarlet Rot having come from the unnamed God of Rot, Miquella created this needle which Malenia placed inside of her, allowing her to halt the progression of the Scarlet Rot in her body. However, when she faced off against Radahn who was her equal, she was forced to either take the needle out and unleash the pent up Scarlet Rot, or die in the war. Considering that she strives to wait for Miquellas return (she doesn't know that Mohg kidnapped Miquella) she opted to condemn the region of Caelid and Radahn to the Scarlet Rot. During her boss fight you will notice that most of her body has already been taken by the rot, having lost an arm and parts of her legs, while also having her body slowly decay to the rot.

The one thing I've noticed with this fight is peoples impatience. This isn't meant to be a fight you can attack a lot of times, but taking opportunities to dive in and deal a large blow. It's all about reading movement and reacting the right way. Her flurry? Side roll, not go back. Things like that. And diving in to attack when the opportunity arises. It's sort of like the old Darksiders 2 bosses actually.

Honestly Malenia never really made me pissed when I died. I felt really happy fighting this boss and dying didn’t feel that much of a chore. The godskin duo and the Elden beast are two boss fights which aren’t really that fun and just make me frustrated. Malenia is honestly hands down my favorite boss in the entire game and imo when dying to this boss over and over never gets tiresome and is always fun to fight against, this is honestly peak game design for me

The boss is still incredibly difficult even with mimic? it's literally the hardest boss to ever come out of a souls game. the mimic just makes it more fair. but even then she constantly heals off of the mimic. he didnt even use things like night and flame or comets or insane bleed builds. just a slow ass greatsword. id hardly consider this cheese.

Love how absolutely f***ing tilted Jev got playing as a melee build like bro it's not as bad as you paint it out to be. As someone who rocks quality builds (dump points into every stat) and used mainly big beefy ballsack swords (great swords) in other souls games I never once felt "super f***ing slow" but then again imo there were ways around utilizing melee weapons and I'm just used to how great swords work,etc so basically I mean this in the nicest way as I can muster....copium. I say all that...yet this game made me a bleed weapon user pleb. Bleed is just too good in this game as well as being more accessible unlike previous souls games. But yeah like dude going melee isn't as crippling as you ragingly (go figure) describe it,etc hell imo mage/magic builds are harder cuz some people make it harder for themselves by dumping points into everything else but vigor (and is what made the game harder for Jev). I haven't even gotten into the fact magic builds require THE most FP/mana usage of all the classes if one wants to dish out near equal amounts of damage you can easily get running almost any other build. Ranni's darkmoon and comet azur are just TWO examples of being the worst offenders of using up the most FP/mana than any other spells in the game...and BOTH of them Jev used or had equipped.
