I would also like to add Dabi to that list because some people say that his actions are justified and put all the blame on Endeavor but even though Endeavor was in the wrong for how he treated his family, Dabi still made the choice to become a psychotic killer that took the lives of innocent people because he felt like it.
@star-rock6466 Жыл бұрын
didn't even try to speak to his family before doing so either-
@jaeliel Жыл бұрын
TLDR: I understand why people defend Dabi. He's justified but wrong. Read it all if you feel like getting my in depth answer on why people defend Dabi or why I say that he is justified, yet wrong. This is a weird one for me because his actions were justified but wrong. When a lot of people see Dabi they see his emotions towards his dad, as they are front and center, but it def goes beyond that. He was inspired by Stain's will because it resonated, it wasn't just his father's actions that he was mad at. He was mad at the hero commission for covering it up because "it would be a bad image if it came out". Hell, heroes used to use their status as heroes to hide their crimes, which was why the commission used Nagant as a personal assassin and before Nagant the Commission colluded and paid villains to specifically kill heroes that were deemed problematic without fair trial. Hawks himself even stabbed Twice in the back when he was weak, wounded and running away (which, as a tangent, created so many more problems than it solved.) I can't emphasize this enough but I'll try: You cannot have true justice in a Utilitarian System that draws black and white lines between heroes and villains and places the greater good above the people. Endeavor's abuse and Dabi's actions are plot devices that fits into this further narrative. That was the point of the liberation war arc. It was to draw a distinct line between how the hero commission and society treats those that fit into its lines and those that do not. Right and wrong are subjective, but good and evil are not. That is how the hero commission sees things. In the very first episode we actually see that when Kamui Woods openly calls a purse snatcher the "incarnation of evil" and brands him as a villain. Dabi wanting to change or upend the HPSC and "dethrone" endeavor for his abuse and their other actions is justifiable. Murdering 30 innocent people is wrong, even if it was the only way he could ignite change. Part of why people defend him ties into this. He knows he's wrong for doing it, comments on it, and even cries bloody tears about it - but its the only way he can bring about change and get the revenge he craves.
@kage1573 Жыл бұрын
@@jaeliel I agree with the majority of your points especially about how the hero commission handles things and I would say Dabi is a villain where I can understand his motivations but I still wouldn't say they are justified because we also see how the majority of his plan is focused on his hatred for his father which has become an unhealthy obsession that even led him to kill innocent despite not exploring other possibilities like Stain did which caused a similar shake in the hero world without sacrificing the lives of innocent civilians even though he still killed pro heroes. Hawks didn't really do anything wrong because we see how he was trying to reason with Twice and giving him a chance to turn his life around but he refused and chose to respond in violence and Twice was a completely dangerous individual that could destroy not just the city but a large portion of Japan if he wanted to which led him to have no choice but to kill him which saved more possible casualties. Dabi is an understandable villain but he was someone that had options when trying to change society but he chooses to become a villain and kill people of his own choice without considering other options or taking into account that he is performing tactics that are no better than the corrupted parts of hero society.
@jaeliel Жыл бұрын
@kage1573 I just want to clarify a few things. Dabi did know that what he was doing was wrong, but he also looked at other options. A distinction between Dabi and Stain that people often forget is that Dabi knew a good portion of what the hero commission has done. Sure, Dabi could have went on to become a reporter or something along those lines but he'd just have been killed for that, marked as insane, or been branded a villain anyway and tossed in Tartarus like Lady Nagant. All she asked was "Should we try to be more transparent?" and the president at the time threatened to kill her too for asking that question. Her specific assignment was to kill two people that were inciting other people to rebel. And even then, despite her killing the man who said he'd kill her, the narrative that they went with was that she lost her cool and killed another hero that she was arguing with. About Twice. I also want to point out that he was killed because of his potential to do something, which is fundamentally wrong. He was killed because he could potentially make Gigantomachia clones or Shigaraki clones. He could potentially turn the war in the villains favor. Emphasis on "war" there, because that is how their society has been operating for decades. Heroes operate more like soldiers that listen blindly to the hero commission and make decisions based on the betterment on them and the society they want. Regardless of how you see Twice or Hawks, what was done to him was fucked up and quite literally emboldened the villains. Imagine if the police executed someone running away, right outside, because they knew how to make a bomb. Not because they made it, not because they planned to, but because they had the potential to just by knowing it. There were many ways for Hawks to incapacitate Twice but he decided that the fastest way to remove the variable was by killing him.
@kage1573 Жыл бұрын
@@jaeliel I see your point but Stain was someone that actively tried to talk to people but was ignored and later became a vigilante then villain despite him later becoming a celebrity in a way that was affecting the minds of people and the hero commission kept him alive but Dabi could have took that information and made a difference in the mindset of heroes while becoming a hero or vigilante if he still wanted to protect people due to the majority of heroes and vigilantes doing there own thing and having there own ideals outside of the hero commissions orders in the series but I could be wrong because I haven't finished My Hero Academia Vigilante yet. We also see how the hero commission was going to be destroyed regardless due to the Liberation Front strength with Redestro and Shigaraki. Twice already showed that he was fully capable of destroying a city in Deika city where he created thousands of clones of himself to fight even though the residence were dangerous in their own right and we also see how he was committed to the leagues mission which would have involved killing millions to see their goals accomplished; I would use an analogy like a person built a bomb to kill an apartment full of gang members and the cop later corners him due to getting information that he will build another bomb to kill more people despite the officer pleading to not do it but remains resolute on it which honestly leaves the officer no choice but to.kill him; I think that there should always be an alternative to killing but there wasn't much for Hawks to do due to the position he was in and the danger that Twice posed not just to the heroes but Japan as a whole.

Why are we not allowed to chastise him? AOT is a work with many grey areas. We can't all agree on what's right and what's wrong. @@howdy-573 I'm not saying I'm happy of the murder of children. That's the flaw in the consequentialist way of thought. You can be shafted simply because it benefits everyone else. None of this would have happened had the world not oppressed the Eldians for the sins of their ancestors, they had a choice. None of this would have happened had Marley not invaded Paradis, infested it with titans, and kicked down Wall Maria, they had a choice. Geto is one of those characters I absolutely don’t support bc bro was deadass tryna be on Fire nation timing with non sorcerers but given his arc I completely understand how he came to that conclusion. Like he isn’t right but technically isn’t wrong either. Curses and sorcerer society were both the main sources of some ridiculous trauma and a cycle of exploitation, and it all exists due to normal people, who literally have no idea any of this is happening. If the goal is to make a society that’s safe for jujutsu sorcerers and not just exploiting them as teen soldiers fighting nightmares for an oblivious population they either need to sever humanity from cursed energy, not really a possibility large scale, teach humans how to control their cursed energy, which is technically possible but not with everyone, or get rid of all non sorcerers. With Cursed energy centralized Almost exclusively in Japan it’s only really that countries population that they would die. After having the pressure of being top 2, in an S tier duo with the #1, treated like automatons that aren’t just teens, having to kill, risk death, consume curses and lose many close friends it totally makes sense Geto would snap. He didn’t need to do allat tho. Lowkey how I feel about Eren Yeager too bc like I get it but cmon bro
@Astrothunder_ Жыл бұрын
Nah Geto's reasoning really makes NO sense to me. It's clear his top concern is for sorcerers, specifically his friends of Jujutsu high. His second concern is that he doesnt want to keep saving normal society and eating shitty curses. So with that logic, he can just stop saving normal society/eating curses. In real life, most of us are healthy people who could be firefighters or officers but dont want to put our asses on the line for random people. So he alrdy doesnt need justification for that. So why not just quit being a sorcerer, and just be ready to help protect Jujutsu high when necessary? He could solo virtually any threat to his friends. Why jump to "I gotta kill these monkeys so the homies can stay safe" when Geto and Gojo simply existing ensures every sorcerer's safety. Atleast Eren cant really confirm his friends safety without doing the most extreme shit.

OK, folks. It appears I will be Griffith's attorney for this session. Before you say it, no, I do not think Griffith did nothing wrong. As a matter of fact, I have dedicated an unhealthy amount of time calculating how possible it is to harm Griffith in his current status, and will be presenting my ideas after the end of this trial. That said, I do this because despite everything, I incredibly appreciate the writing of his character, as well as the logic behind it, and simply denying or dehumanising these facets entirely destroys the point behind both. Let us begin: To understand the exact motivation of Griffith requires us to define something admittedly vague. Namely, " dreams". Griffith's view of the world is defined not simply by his " dream" ,but by his conception of what a dream is, and it's inherent value; his morality preceding the events of the Eclipse, his esteem of others and his actions for or against them are defined by this viewpoint. A dream in Griffith's definition is, effectively, a raison d'etre; it's not simply an ambition, or rather, it is, but exists for more than the sake of ambition. Dreams provide people with a reason to continue existing; to exist without a dream, to exist without purpose, is a terrible fate. Dreams , and the ideals and thinking attached to them, impose meaning upon a world that is normally meaningless, and give purpose to the otherwise terrible experience of Man as a being. Indeed, in a (particularly ironic) metaphor in the manga, Griffith compares Dream to a god one must serve in order to live with purpose. In this sense, Griffith is an ardent worshipper of that god. In many ways, this metaphor serves to explain multiple things later on; namely, why Griffith sacrificed his comrades, and why Griffith's obsession with Guts was one that he felt especially conflicted about. How? Recall the dead child for whom Griffith sold his body to Gennon. Now, recall the vision Griffith experienced at the hands of the Godhand during the Eclipse. What picture do you see? Griffith, once as a child, dreamed of obtaining a castle, and becoming a king. A simple, childish dream, typical of someone of his age. This dream became his " reason" to live, despite being an abandoned child with no parents or loved ones. It gave him purpose, and began to grow and become more detailed as he grew into a man; a kingdom, where all can pursue their interests and live as equals, and where he is obviously king of the castle, beloved by all. As it grew, he began to inspire others, deliberately or unwittingly, who thus followed him, becoming ready to die for the sake of his dream, seeing it as an ideal worthy of sacrifice. Griffith realised early on in his life that by pursuing his own dream, he caused others to not simply follow his lead, but be destroyed for his sake, along with their dreams. This is why he experiences such guilt, but also resolves to continue; by destroying them and their dreams through his ceaseless quest to reach his own, Griffith came to carry the weight of fulfilling his own dream so that those dreams will not have been destroyed in vain. This is why Griffith compares " Dream" to a god; to him, it is no longer something he wants for the sake of it, but a force which demands his unrestrained sacrifice of self and other, his time and mind. An idol powered by fear, guilt and reverence, created entirely from innocent childhood fancies. A terrible yoke to bear. However, in the process, a great irony occurred: Thanks to such sacrifice, as well as the weight on his shoulders, Griffith no longer came to love his own dream so much. Like a man of faith in doubt, he was plagued by uncertainty, weak in the face of temptation. Namely, Guts. " You belong to me." " Should I need a reason?" " Do you think I'm cruel?" Contrary to common belief, Griffith never uses such terms of possession with his own soldiers; as seen with his recruitment of Casca, he leaves it as a choice, and insists on granting them the power to affect their own circumstances. The same, however, could not be said of Guts. Griffith wanted, and would eventually get, Guts. When with Charlotte, Griffith's thoughts focus on Guts. When Guts attempts to leave, Griffith stands in his way. When Zodd nearly killed Guts, Griffith nearly threw his own life away to save him. When Griffith was imprisoned, his thoughts, instead of focusing on his dream, focus once again on Guts. Even as he attempted to banish him from his mind, to leave room only for his dream, Guts seemed to eclipse even that glorious castle he envisioned as a child. Before Guts, it is nothing but a " piece of junk" again, now losing it's shine. Guts was, in Griffith's words, the only one who could make him forget about his dream... And that could not be allowed. If Griffith had actually been given the choice, the freedom, to do so, he would've abandoned his dream and chosen Guts. But he couldn't. Because even if he loved Guts more than the god named " Dream", even if the castle was a piece of junk, he had destroyed too many dreams not to get there. He had reaped too many lives to allow it to slip from between his fingers. Indeed, if " Dream" is a god, then Guts is sin personified. After his escape, Griffith's first course of action was to attempt suicide after a hallucination episode. It was then that the Eclipse commenced, and when Griffith's " God" granted him audience. It was then that he was given a choice: One last sacrifice, from the comrades already willing to die for him, or insulting all those who died for him before by refusing, and running back into the arms of Guts, who will most likely leave him once again..... As for the rape of Casca... Spoilers: Now we commence to the fun part: How To Hurt Griffith: The Incarnation Ceremony, as is known, was conducted using the body of Casca's child, allowing Griffith to manifest in the physical world and commence with his dream. This has granted us not only an explanation, but an important opportunity; despite his godlike power, his body is human, and thus, vulnerable. However, as seen in recent chapters, harming Griffith seems immensely difficult. This is not due to him being genuinely invincible; thanks to his position as a member of the Godhand, Griffith is " absolute" in the physical world in the sense that his " fortune" cannot be turned against him; in other words, he has infinite " luck". He is quite literally protected by the hand of Fate, as he is part of it. His quest cannot be stopped. However, as seen with Rickert the Mighty, there is one ray of hope: As long as whatever act is made to hurt Griffith isn't made in opposition to his " destiny" , as preordained by Casuality, it is possible to harm him. Case in point, the mighty slap. There may be no method to destroy Griffith ( and frankly, with Falconia's foundation, that would hardly be desirable), but this option gives us a wealth of opportunities to hurt him, and in more creative ways than mere killing. After all, his body is human; he feels pain. In simple terms, the recipe to hurting Griffith is: These hands.

@@zstrikerlol OK. Expansion time: On Guts, Griffith, God And What Friends Are: Many people tend to argue the question of whether Griffith viewed Guts as a friend or not, judging by the fact that despite his surprising care for his men, Griffith demanded an " equal" with his own dream to be his friend, something we know Guts didn't have at the time. The simple answer is: Yes. Of all the followers of Griffith, Guts is the only person who could say with confidence that Griffith valued his opinion. Whether it be to judge his strategy or his moral fiber, Griffith has used Guts' input for both. This, along with the irrational lengths he will go to to keep Guts alive, marks Guts as someone he considered a friend, and likely more than a friend. So, why? Is Guts some " exception " to the rule? Is he just special? Was Griffith simply talking out of his ass? No. For those who have read the manga, recall the examples Griffith set for those who " follow their dreams" ,according to his logic. One example listed is one who " lives by the sword". This is no throwaway line; this is a direct( and very strange) reference to Guts; he genuinely believes that Guts has his own " dream" or " reason ", and that that reason was none other than " living by the sword"; living the life of a warrior, roaming from place to place, free like the wind. In Griffith's eyes, Guts' aimlessness is freedom; he is blind to his lack of purpose, perhaps because he sees his own purpose as a burden of sorts; freedom like Guts would make any man like Griffith green with envy, or red with admiration. In fact, if you think of it in retrospect, his entire speech with Charlotte, especially the ending segment, is him talking about Guts. Who else refused Griffith's offer point blank? Who else fought Griffith to keep control of their destiny? Guts was the first, and last, recruit Griffith ever had to earn, and in Griffith's eyes, that proved Guts most certainly had his own dream. This is, of course, wrong. Guts has no dream. Guts has no purpose. The only reason he swings his sword and wanders from place to place is because he knows nothing else. Granted, later in the manga, he would find purpose in swinging his sword like Griffith envisioned, but when he and Griffith first met, Griffith saw in Guts what Guts himself lacked the most: Meaning. Purpose. A kindred spirit. An equal. So why say: " You belong to me" " I will decide where you die." Indeed, as we postulated, Guts' treatment by Griffith is unique to Guts; no one within the Band Of The Hawk has ever been recruited so, nor given the impression of being Griffith's own to keep. Here is a question: How did Griffith " win" Guts? By the sword. What does Griffith think Guts lives by? The sword. How does the logic of " the sword" work? You keep what you earn by your sword. The potent irony of their situation is, whereas Guts was helplessly ensnared by Griffith's charisma and confidence, Griffith thought the only reason he managed to keep Guts was him winning their duel; that Guts only stayed because that was the law of the sword. Him reiterating this fact multiple times, all the while treating Guts as an equal otherwise, indicates that Griffith had long feared that this would change. And sadly, his fears were correct, if only for the wrong reasons. Guts alone knew he was none of those things Griffith thought of him as. Guts alone knew that he was unworthy of Griffith's friendship as he was. The fact that Griffith didn't know didn't change that that had to change for Guts to look him in the eye once more. In this sense, Guts' journey was as much to regain his self-respect as it was to truly earn the respect of Griffith. Sadly, his absence left room for Casuality to take shape. As Guts walked away, Fortune followed him, and thus, Griffith was left vulnerable. _ As we have discussed earlier, Griffith's actions are dictated by his conception of his dream; a conception that evolved into a crippling force that became more of a burden than an ideal he strove for, as more and more sacrificed themselves for it's sake. Contrary to what we have been saying though, this isn't entirely metaphorical. You see, this " god" we have been speaking of.... It exists. _ The Idea Of Evil, despite common conjecture, is canon; it appeared at the final page of Chapter 82, and was mentioned afterwards multiple times. Indeed, the only flaw within 83 was limiting the scope of revelations Miura wished to unleash regarding his world; it is, in effect, an oversimplification, but it is nonetheless enough to judge as canon. Most people can agree on this somewhat; where people differ is defining what the Idea Of Evil is. What it represents. A common, erroneous assumption is that it is, simply put, the incarnation of Evil, or else a malignant intelligence by nature. Neither can be farther than the truth. The Idea Of Evil, rather, can be described as the logical endpoint of Griffith's ideals; it is the idea that " evil ", as we understand it, must possess a justification. Dreams, or reasons, or purpose, or whatever you call it; all of them exist to create a narrative that justifies Man's continued existence and suffering. Whether it be the dreams of a lone orphan, or the grand preachings and sermons of the Holy See, or the mysticism of Kushan sorcerers, all serve the same purpose; to provide us with justification. The Idea Of Evil is the grand culmination of this conceit; " the ego of this world". By the wish of the collective will of mankind, which swirls around and binds it, it creates the stream of Casuality, where every action possesses certain meaning; where every step of Man is preordained; after all, only Man can concieve that his actions are somehow of such grand importance so as to be pre-written and pivotal to the stream of Fate. The Idea Of Evil was born to impose the wish of Man; that all suffering must have greater purpose. That no one may suffer without meaning; that none may die in vain. That all things be as intended; that " God" work in mysterious ways. The reason Casuality seems so unbeatable, so inevitable, is because it is, and not because it is beyond Man's reach. It is because it is precisely the will of Man that commands the Ungodly God Born Of Man, who thus commands Casuality in the name of Man. It is our wills combined that drive it forward; the desires of God are our desires, and our desires are the command of God. Now, the obvious question: What does any of this have to do with Griffith? This God made him. This God followed and shaped bloodlines across history to make him; shaped his life to mold him; caused every misery and victory he'd ever experienced; guided his mind and fortune through it all. The God Griffith worshipped was already there, and it was watching him fron the very start. Breathing down his neck since the dawn of his life. When recieving audience with " God", Griffith first lost the ability to shed tears, then was filled with a portion of what composed " God" as he came out, the swirls of Hell, remaking him in it's own image . From this, Femto was born; an extension of " God's" will. The Blessed King Of Longing; a wretched slave to the God named " Dream", now fully broken and collared. No more sin; no more sentiment; no more Guts. A pathetic mockery of all he once was, and he became it.... By choice. Weak. Gullible. Desperate to live up to the expectations of the dead. Indeed, it is a sad thing to see. What does it mean to be a member of the Godhand? Answer: they become the agents of " God" , with their own rule in managing the stream of Casuality. A dangerous assumption I've heard was the idea Guts is somehow beyond Casuality; this notion is utterly ridiculous. Think on this; without Guts and Casca surviving, how would the Incarnation Ceremony occur? Without Guts hating Griffith and waiting for a chance to kill him and Casca being invalid, how would both be at the Tower Of Conviction for the ceremony? Without Guts roaming the land, with his brand attracting misfortune and revealing Dark creatures men had never known before, how else would people know of it as an age of darkness, awaiting the Hawk Of Light? Everything was planned. The moment Femto stepped out, he saw the whole stream before him; the way to his kingdom, open. It was genius. It was also unforgivable. Please, excuse me as I make my second obligatory attempt on my client's life. ( loads crossbow)

Ok this is a bit philosophical but the way I understood the ending of aot is that eren upon unlocking the memories saw most of the show. This included him setting of the Rumbling. Also eren can’t really change the future he saw, because aot is set in a deterministic universe we’re certain things are guaranteed to happen. So the stuff eren change don’t matter kinda like in steins-gate, the rumbling will always happen, but stuff number of people will die, when it will happen are what eren can control. An example of this was Eren changing the smiling Titan from eating bertoldt. Bertoldt was always going to die eren could only change how. Eren basically had like one choice where his friends would stop him and Titan powers are gone. This makes eren a tragic character, the boy who yearned freedom is now forced to play a villain in the story, for the sake of his friends surviving because there was no other way.

@@chloe-jz8bb With Marley, I think it's kind of obvious that they're bad. They want to eliminate our protagonists for things they haven't even done yet. Eren was simply responding in kind: these total strangers who he had never met or even dreamed of, he grew up hearing the myth of Titans “eating all of humanity outside the walls”. Then he found out that not only was that a lie, but also the Titans that terrorised his people for so long were a result of other innocents who these strangers deemed “guilty” and sentenced them to become monsters. Hell his own brother squealed on their father and his first wife, so I always found it incredibly funny this same guy was trying to be all “we’re brothers!” after essentially causing Eren’s mother to be eaten by Zeke’s Titanised mother Dina (there is evidence that the Smiling Titan knew who Eren’s mother was and killed her the way she did out of spite). Eren was damned the moment he was born for things that were never his fault, the hatred of an entire world aimed his peoples’ way purely for having “demon blood”. It killed my heart when he died in the end, but at least now the Marleyans will have to fight their own bullsh*t wars without having great big, f*ck-off nightmare monsters to eat their enemies (also knowing Gabi and her simp boyfriend will almost certainly die in the next war brings me many smiles) Eren was literally a product of his environment, he just went about things a bit smarter than the other guys did (and these are the same people who laughed as a little girl was eaten by dogs, the Marleyans deserved to get Rumbled and no one can convince me otherwise)

That's just a matter of semantics, he gets called racist because there is no simple term for "discrimination based on a lack of magical abilities". He still discriminates against a specific group of people based on the circumstances of their birth (Keep in mind that the ability to control CE is a direct biological anomaly in the brain, if you can't do it from birth you never will - so no, they aren't the "same humans" actually) and plans to commit genocide against them. The fact that technically the term racist doesn't fit the attorcities he did/is planning to do doesn't defend his actions in the slightest

Eren admitted to Ramzi and Armin that he wanted to wipe everything away because he wanted to see the empty, unoccupied outside world and also because he, as Armin put it in the anime, wanted to simply erase people from the world. So the rumbling wasn't just for his friends, paradis and Eldia. If it was only for them, then he wouldn't have put them on risk by attacking Liberio, Sasha and Hange would be alive and civil war against Floch wouldn't have happened.

First off all to what you said about eren they changed it from the manga he said he didn’t know why he did it, however in the plot of both the anime and manga explained that their was no way to find peace considering Tybur told everyone the truth and still accepted that the eldian should die so it was either kill the eldians of the outside world . I’m not saying i agree with the rumbling but looking about with the evidence eren had no choice and he didn’t just want to protect his friends but also his people I suggest everyone look at the chapter 139 and you will see what I mean by what they changed

I’m the case of Eren, you are bugging. It’s not about what’s right or wrong, in any of these instances. It’s about a power struggle of wills. Erens people has been subjected for 100s of years, confined to a tiny society and his people have been killed. Nobody, has personal connections to the whole world - the only people we all care about, are the people we know and love. Eren saw his whole world crushed when his Mother died. It’s perfectly reasonable for him, selfishly, to ensure that never happens again. The only difference is that he actually had the power to stop it. The rest of the world wanted to crush, or control the inhabitants of paradise. That gives paradis the right to equally enforce their freedom. Don’t prod sleeping giants.

Umm the Eldians were isolated on the island for only 100 years and it was King Fritz that willingly did that to atone for the fact that prior to that they had an empire dominating the rest of the world for much longer. So they were the oppressors until the Great Titan war (a civil war) then Marley took over and became the oppressors themselves.

Griffith had the qualifications and potential that not that many others have. He invested most of his life to the dream and others notice. Entities of many guide him knowing his potential. A top candidate for success. However, the last step was to throw away his humanity. It is not an excuse for his actions but understandable. If not him, they would have chosen another candidate.

I think Light Yagami should also be added to the list. I mean yeah, he does have some sort of ideology and a twisted sense of justice, but he literally just finds a book and starts killing people because he got bored. Some kills were justified, others were not, specifically Naomi Misora, cuz what Light did to her was immensely fucked 😭
@useruseruseruser4247 ай бұрын
Every kill Light makes is justified because he isn't blood thirsty for the sake of it. Crime rates massively decreased during Light's reign. Naomi Misora would've led him to get caught. Is the death of a few unjustifiable if it means the guaranteed safety of the larger population of innocents?
@ashuranero57217 ай бұрын
Naomi Misora was trying to get light killed for the justice that he wished for the world, so it kinda makes sense and is justyfiable to kill her, if one is in light yagamis shoes
@useruseruseruser4247 ай бұрын
@@ashuranero5721 Agreed. But if you support light everyone just calls you sick. Even though L works for the FBI which ultimately is just as bad - potentially worse than Light I could argue - people will always say police good Kira bad. Despite the drop in crime rate.
@lightscorer13206 ай бұрын
@@useruseruseruser424Killing her is one thing but braging about how he is Kira and shit when she is about to unalive herself is NOT justified. He also kills countless people who did not need to be killed like the Yotsuba group, fake L and The FBI agents (fake L was just bc he called Light evil. Light didnt seem to care at all beforehand and the FBI agents had already cleared Light which he could easily guess since he hadnt been arrested. Killing them was just to stroke his ego and prove how capable he was to L)
@useruseruseruser4246 ай бұрын
@@lightscorer1320 You can act on ego and still be justified. Even in killing the fake L, if he was the real L, it would have deterred the police from continuing to chase him. Often people miss the bigger picture with this stuff - Light thought he was a God because he believed he was the only one capable of correcting the Earth. Of course he will have an Ego with that - even though being Godly is supposed to be without Ego - but he’s a human so it’s not necessarily literal. Light’s aims was to create a better world. He wasn’t killing simply out of bloodlust. He decreased the crime rate and had people worship him for applying justice to criminals which the police wouldn’t do shii about - i.e, why mikasa loved him. If Light is evil, then every single president / world leader is also evil to you.

I feel like you misinterpreted Erens intentions in the last episode a little bit. In the special before, Eren stated how he was seriously disappointed with the fact humanity had survived beyond the walls and in order to gain his definition of freedom, he wanted to erase humanity. At first he thought and tried convincing himself that he was doing it for his friends but in the end, he realized it wasn't that only reason. He didn't feel like he had to do what he did, he did it because it's what he wanted because it fit his definition of freedom and what a free world is to him. But yeah, great video!

Another one I can think of Chrollo from HxH Being leader of the phantom troupe he was probably in charge of the curta clan massacre, and what was done to the curta clan is UNFORGIVABLE Like at least these people just killed and took people out of their misery, but the phantom troupe did horrendous things basically desecrating and abusing human bodies both before AND after death. I don’t remember if it’s in the main manga of HxH or a spin off with Kurapika, but when I read the stuff they did it was more than just "steal the red eyes" It was horrific 💀 And people still want to defend Chrollo for his continuous bad actions even after the massacre just because the anime made him an "uwu pretty boy" 💀

*The Seven Lucifers* (for either their actions and/or personality coming off as so vile and evil that such a title is more than fitting - especially with how some may rationalize their horrific actions) *Of Anime* : 1. Johan Liebert (Monster) - a child who was groomed to become the next Hitler, turned widespread homicidal maniac with being known as a true master manipulator even as a child and probably the closest thing to the “Last Man” of Nihilism. 2. Aizen (Bleach) a prideful master manipulator that wished to dethrone and become god. Commonly had people kill those they cared about and actively committed indiscriminate human experiments on “friend” and foe alike. 3. Giffith (Berserk) an “ends justify the means individually” who commonly saw those around him as nothing more than things to own. Self portrayed as a benevolent god when he is actually the farthest thing from such a entity. 4. Kira (Death note) a egotistical child turned self justified mass murder that gained the power of a god through pure chance. Attempted to propagate himself as a god through his borrowed power, with his pride being his downfall. 5. Makima (Chainsaw) essentially the Demiurge of her world. Making it her personal playground where she controlled practically everything and attempted to own what she currently couldn’t control - possibly due to her pride getting in the way of doing it the easy way. 6. Yuno Gasai (Future Diary) Commonly known as *The Yandere* or Queen of Yanderes who is the god of her world. Activiely destroying it and going on a homicidal rampage in it twice - all for her point of obsession. Destructively manipulative that it defies any logic and by technicality one of the Lucifers that has currently gotten what they wanted. Let that sink in. 7. Prince Achmea (Land of the Lustrous) the leader of the remaining humans on the moon, a master manipulator who only wishes to die with the rest of humanity; Achieving this by having the group that was steadfast against him for hundreds of potentially thousands of years turn on each other. Turning the main character and several other gems into his own darth vader fueled only by a bitter hatred for those they once cared for by stoking the flames of their latent insecurities. - leaving the “protagonist” as a self made god on a dead world. With any meaning to their existence long gone. Is there anyone else you think should also be known for this title? Should they replace one that I Listed?

Naa I think eren Yeager can be justified because this guy's gave him and his people a faith worst than death because of something that their ancestors did. This where innocent people that know nothing about what was going on only that titans were eating them. On top of that they were treated like shit in their own land and they also recruited their own people as titans to fight them, brain washing them that they can attone for their sins by murdering their own people. Erine wasn't just destroying everyone because of his friends, he wanted to end this madness. You said imagine waking up and seeing titans killing everyone, isnt that what the colossal titan did when he kicked the wall, that is a declaration of war and the whole world was in support. If eren didn't do that, they would have made him and his people extinct. Besides it's actually a moral lesson that shows what happened when people fail to letgo of the past and focus on the future. Eren is a 100% justified. In the mist of oppression, an eren yeager will be born one day and that is how life is.
