Hey man, that's just a part of life. I'm probably a month younger than Dan, and I was skating every day last year. Then I got a really good job and pretty much had to quit skating. I went a few weeks ago and lost all my tricks. I can't even kickflip anymore. I plan on going back to it because I really enjoy it once I relearn my tricks again, but sometimes you have to sit back and do the adult stuff first. Once you've got a groove down, you can get back to it.

As someone who has been a writer for a hot minute where would you suggest to start working towards getting a tattoo apprenticeship or start building a portfolio is there any way I can spin this previous knowledge to my advantage or am i in the same position as anyone else starting from scratch

The best way I can honestly suggest is find a tattoo artist you really like the style of, get tattooed by that person a lot, become friendly with them and be vulnerable and show them your art and ask them for honest feedback, also study what styles your into, for example, American traditional, look at all the greats ( sailor jerry, bert grimm etc ) study what makes a solid tattoo design, dont worry about creating anything brand new just remix the popular OG stuff and make it your own graffiti definitely gives you a good foundation when it comes to pulling outlines, filling in, fading etc tattooing is more craft than art in my opinion, a great craftsman can trace a design and execute ana awesome tattoo, but it can be difficult for an artist to execute a craft if that makes sense you can go down the self taught route these days, but it can allow you to form bad habits and its much better to learn the right way the first time around!

Dan is the reason i stopped watching your vids so much, he is a leech and parasite forcing himself in as many people's channels as possible.
