Most Famous 360 Flip product made by Chris Cole below!
storiedskatebo...
Now that the professionals have spoken, it's your turn...what do you think is the most famous 360 flip ever done? Not the biggest, longest or fastest...the most famous. Not who has the best 360 flip or the hardest 360 flip ever either. The small batch that we interviewed, narrowed it down to Chris Cole at Wallenberg and Chris Joslin at Davis Gap with Josh Kalis at LOVE Park right there with them. It may be impossible to say and it may be completely dependent on the generation you grew up skating in. So let us know in the comments below! This video features pro skaters such as Jamie Thomas, Geoff Rowley, Paul Rodriguez, Aaron Jaws Homoki, Torey Pudwill, Bucky Lasek, Jeremy Wray, Sean Malto, Stefan Janoski, Ryan Sheckler, Dave Bachinsky, Mark Appleyard, Felipe Gustavo, Colin Mckay, Antwuan Dixon, Danny Way, Wade Desarmo, Jason Lee, Kris Marcovich, Johnny Layton, Andrew Brophy and more. With footage from skate brands such as Plan B, Zero, Emerica, Fallen, Baker, Toy Machine, Flip, Etnies, DGK and more. Special Thank You to Photographers Kyle Camarillo and Joey Shigeo and Videographers Jamie Thomas and Erik Bragg. Only 50 print plaques were made and all hand designed by Chris Cole. The way they talked about battling really stuck with me, it's something every skater no matter what skill range can relate to. I've had some battles that were nowhere near as big as those guys and finally sticking one and running away is one of the best feelings I've ever felt. Cole talks about blacking out during his land and I totally agree with that. You get into a crazy zone and focus that it's sometimes even hard to remember the details of when you actually landed it.

Yeah, Kasper's 360 flip down Carlsbad in Trilogy was so heavy. That was actually the first one I thought of. I think because it's now 28 years ago and Kasper isn't someone who most people remember, it's been lost to history. It's unlike Tom Penny's switch frontside flip down Carlsbad. He has legend status. But, yeah, I was 13 when Trilogy came out and I can verify how heavy that was for the time.

Cole and Joslins are, of course, all-time monuments to tre flips. Easily the biggest and/or longest... But if the question is which is the most "famous" I think there's an argument for Antwuan's flatground tre from Baker 3 or Janoski's from his Show Me The Way segment lol, glad Joslin shouted them out. That Wade one did the rounds on early KZbin as well. His trick tip video where he just keeps ragging on every tre he does is a classic 😂

Brophy's over the table was actually innnnsane! Westgate is so crispy clean. Bastien and Arto are some of my favorites. Shane and Mike mo...like Antwuan made tres look super clean effortless and buttery. Coles tre means more to me, the time period.... but Joslin's was the hardest.

I remember watching Chris do the Wallenberg tre for the first time in 2006 when I met my best friend, we were 12 he had a computer and showed me KZbin.😂 I'll be honest I just randomly woke up and couldn't go back to sleep came across this and has me going down memory lane.. Man things were so easy then. 😩

The answer is Jason Lee!!! And more than one of them! Not only is he the most "famous", but he had the best 360 flips ever and solidified them into modern street skateboarding! Even if he were to film and put one out today; it would be the new most famous 360 flip!

I’m almost 30 now and one memory I will forever hold close to my heart is with Chris cole man. I had to have been maybe 16-17 and there was a signing at a skatepark called union hills in Phoenix Arizona. There was a super long line for signatures and stuff like that and I don’t really remember how it happened but I was skating the park thinking like damn I probably won’t be able to meet any of them, but I was like let me just pop into the skate shop they had there at the time and cole was sitting at the end of the table I truly don’t know how the conversation got started but thinking about it now I just wanted to talk to him and get his opinion on my skatepark that I was building in my backyard. I was the only one in my crew that was good with carpentry and stuff so I was always making the ramps and what not but I just showed him some photos and absolutely one of the most nicest genuine human beings ever he is, he literally took the time to check it all out and I remember him saying hey man when you finish it I’d maybe love to check it out or something along those lines. But truly man thank you so much cole! You’re the fucking man and to see you in your shop doing woodwork is new to me I’ve been out of the loop with skating since like 2014 but I have a wood shop also and do carpentry and now I fully renovate houses for a living my ig is @whsarizona but man I would absolutely love if you ever in life need a hand with anything i will drop everything to even be able to tour your shop I know you have a million people but you truly inspired a young kid and for that I will always be grateful to you!!

Davis Gap, I never been there but you know, when something looks massive on your screen, it's infinitely bigger in real life. But props to both for even stepping up and trying it. Honestly, I think a good mention is Clay Kreiner hucking one on the mega ramp. No hand check, just full speed, catch, what's 20 feet? Joslin wins IMOP though, that is so sick, to even step up to that it's balls of steel, but he caught the board perfect about halfway down and just floated to the landing.

Fun Fact - My friends and I founded the spot at 11:46 like over 20 years ago. It's technically in Harbor City, CA, up from 5 points on Anaheim st and Belle Porte (on the corner). We grew up in that area and we skated it a bunch of times. That spot between the palm trees was HUGE in person though. We always knew someone big would skate it. Not surprised he tre flipped it. Was nostalgic seeing that old spot and brought back a ton of great memories. Thanks Storied! Take a sub!
