@@agoraphobi.c samurott , Luxray, gardevoir , crobat, giratina, garchomp ( current ) Samurott, luxray, gardevoir, garchomp, Dialga and palkia ( I remember having a goodra but I replaced it with Dialga and I replaced Gliscor for palkia temporarily) anyhow my team level was 70-87 ish I didn’t purposely get myself a little over level I just procrastinated before the final battle and I spent hours just catching Pokémon for my Pokédex and for the grit dusts and because it’s fun.. Samurott( lvl 83) moveset ( not perfect but idc) Dark pulse aqua tail night slash and water pulse ( dark type moves are super effective against giratina ) Max effort on all stats Luxray(lvl 78) moveset Baby doll eyes Thunder Wild charge Crunch ( max effort level on each stat) Gardevoir ( lvl 83) moveset Psychic Moonblast Dazzling gleam Aura sphere ( max effort level in each stat) Goodra( lvl 69) moveset Dragon pulse Water pulse Shelter Iron head Dialga (lvl 66) moveset Earth power Iron tail Flash cannon Roar of time (origin form) Palkia( lvl 65) moveset Earth power Aqua tail Hydro pump Special rend (Origin form) Of course you don’t need my exact team you can just use dark ice and dragon fairy and rock type moves Although Dark type and Fairy Pokémon and the dark/fairy type moves in particular are most effective in whooping giratina’s ass because they resist giratina’s dragon ghost typing which could help your Pokémon to last longer… ( I bought a lot of max revives lol 😂)

@@Slushii24 you can pretty much beat him with any team as long as they are all grit trained. That’s the thing people are failing to do lol. All my Pokémon were like 300+hp when fighting volo and actually just setting up my sweeper worked wonders. Basically wiped his entire team with heracross

@BrTrueV To also be fair, pokemon trainers were a new thing in Legends Arceus, so not many people actually knew how battles worked or had a full team of 6. Also remember that pokemon in the past were really feared as they were extremely unknown, so you didn't see 4 year olds running around with them like you do in the modern pokemon era.

It adds up with the overall narrative of the game. The player thought their journey was done after Palkia/Dialga, only to find out that no, the REAL threat was actually your goofy friend Volo. The strongest trainer in the world who would've gone unopposed in a primitive era of fear and distrust, if the player wasn't brought back in time by Arceus then Volo would've singlehandedly crushed everyone and succeeded in his ideals.

Honestly this was one of the best moments in Pokemon storytelling. I was sus of Volo for a while because I know JRPG tropes far too well, and I could tell something was up when he had that weird convo at the ruins outside the temple of Sinnoh. And even still this reveal got to me and I got a weird chill when he ripped his Ginkgo costume off and started going full super villain. Really well done, game!

55 attempts to defeat Volo and it was thanks to Alpha Blissey that I finally did it and today (30th March 2022) I captured Arceus unlocked the Azure Flute in BDSP and caught Arceus in the Hall of Origin. I also now have Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai & Shaymin on Legends which gives me a fully completed Pokedex of 242 you only need 237 to meet Arceus.
