Looking at this footage still has me questioning what made people think shinobi was an overpowered hero? What part of shinobi‘s kit was just “too good please nerf”? If you kept getting caught by the kick, keep in mind the only way shinobi could get to it was by double dashing....which you can guardbreak them out of and get a heavy or just dodge out of the way then punish because the backflip was far from invincible even before the nerf. “The ranged heavy is too much guaranteed damage.” The only time the range heavy is guaranteed is if they get a successful kick so refer to previous sentence. “Played optimally you can’t touch shinobi” arguably the same thing can be said about the rest of the roster because ignoring chip damage the only way you are going to receive damage is if you 1. Guess wrong 2. Miss a block/dodge/parry/guardbreak. Now yes I’m well aware of the shinobis that stay out of lock on and rely on the sweep to get any damage but again a number other characters could do the same but it was especially annoying on shinobi because he could keep you out of reach through sheer speed. Yes annoying invincible not really. Yes of course a shinobi in a enemy gank is a nightmare the only time he ever got close to be “over powered” and yet, to my knowledge, that didn’t get nerfed. Please if I missed anything here point it out.
