Rick and Lex put the final touches on the Widowmaker drift trike, Rick also cuts some laps in a Supercar before they attempt to fire the trike up for the first time!

The oil light comes on before you start it because there’s no pressure when the engine isn’t running. It’s a simple sensor either there’s pressure (light off) or no pressure (light on)

Sik I had plans a few years ago to do this with a 250 2stroke but a Harley way siker idea bit pricey for me tho lol
@HellBentGarage Жыл бұрын
Yeah, the initial cost of the bike was ok, it’s just the parts add up real quick 🤦🏽♂️

Awesome work.. did you end up buying a whole new harness or make something up? I assume the original harness was fried, And how did the floor pull up after the burnout haha
@HellBentGarage Жыл бұрын
Hi Philip, I brought a second bent frame that came with a harness, bent forks, brakes, handle bars etc. that made life a bit easier on the wiring side of things 👍🏼

@@HellBentGarage how much $$ all up do you think you would be in for with the whole package?

@@philsshed I stoped counting. Harley parts aren’t priced to my liking 😂. I have had help and support from many along the way though 👍🏼

That was a breakout, not a fatboy also, put one way valves in the place of the electronic valves for the clutch lines. much simpler
@HellBentGarage Жыл бұрын
Thanks, yes we worked out after we brought it that it was a breakout 👍🏼 Someone else mentioned the one way valve idea, but once you release the clutch you need the fluid to return to the clutch reservoir Right? You can’t just keep pushing the fluid one way… you just need to be able to shut the line momentarily….

Awesome build..quick question? Could you use a trike & put smaller slicks in the back with a built engine.
@HellBentGarage Жыл бұрын
That’s a good question, the key design attributes to a drift trike in my opinion are: short wheelbase, big front and small rear wheels, low centre of gravity, fixed rear axle, and lots of steering lock 👍🏼 a normal rear engine trike would be hart to control with plastic wheels, as it would have a lot of weight/momentum over the rear wheels..
@jayvalenz1930 Жыл бұрын
@@HellBentGarage that's why your the expert. I have a Harley trike but after your explanation, it would be wasted money to get the same outcome that your build performs..thank you & love your channel.
