Ok I didn’t watch the video but I have a serious question. Why does everyone love to discredit what Jayson Tatum has accomplished? He literally just won an NBA championship and he’s one of the most successful playoff performers from his generation. Ball don’t lie. He’s severely disrespected and underrated. His accolades will speak for his legacy at the end of the day, and that’s something that is empirical which cannot be denied. edit: so your argument is that since he always had an excellent front office that should be counted against him? That’s what you’re saying?
@kennykent53366 ай бұрын
His argument is valid. I'm a Celtics fan, and he's right, when you compared Tatum to the all time greats, you have to add those things, like, he had a good team from the beginning. He didn't say that Tatum was a bad player, but had a better team and less good performances than guys like Dirk, Jordan, Kobe LeBron etc... For example, you can critize Duncan for the same thing, he came in a great team with a Hofer still at his prime. So when you compare Duncan to Kobe or Jordan, Shaq etc... you have to think about it.

@@fraliv5526 You know the youtube game man, a thumbnail to make clicks. He never said in the video that Tatum isn't a star. Cause Jayson has the potential to be one of the greatest, ECF in his first year. @@saucegodnas7318 Totally agree, without him, they would at best go to the ECF like in 2017. But nobody said that they were better without him, he's without a doubt the best player of the team or at least, the most impactful.

31, 8, and 11 assists in a legendary game for the title. Adding to what is already an incredibly impressive résumé. There were several guys on the NBA’s 75 that don’t have half the CV Tatum does. Just completed a historical statistical run joining Larry, LeBron, Jokic, Tim Duncan and Dream as the only players in league HISTORY to do what he did in leading a team in points, rebounds and assists to win the championship. 5x all star, 3 straight all NBA 1st teams, 5 conference finals, 2 finals, and a championship with on one of the 15 greatest teams ever in only his 7th season at the age of 26, and he’s about to sign the biggest contract in NBA history. Tatum is already a top 55 player, a made man, a living legend in Boston, and an all time GREAT player with the accolades and stats and achievements that PROVE just that. He's heading to top 30 all time with another chip and his inevitable MVP as well. Nice try though.

Tatum has been the better player all these years. He has more accolades and records. He was playing well all postseason including the finals. People only started saying JB was better after he won ecf MVP. The same people saying Brown is better are the same people who said he had no left hand a year ago.
@kennykent53366 ай бұрын
Tatum always has been the best player, but Brown was the most regular. And maybe those people who criticized JB, watched the game 7 against the Heat last year and saw him turned the ball over multiple times going on his left hand.

@@Nick-sr4fe Agree, people don't understand that those guys around Tatum are successfull, Holiday, Brown, Horford, KP, White, especially because the opposite team focus so much on him, and he almost every time made the perfect read. It's like people are way too ready to knock him down but don't have the same energy for other guys currently playing who get hyped up to no end with minimal (or Embiids case, not enough) push back.

As a C's fan, for years I've been hearing how he and Brown can't win together, or that one of them (or both) should be traded. Yet the moment they win and disprove that nonsense, now it's, "they didn't win the way we wanted." Is it because the narrative being pushed this year was, "whoever comes out the west is winning the chip," and they disproved that? Or is it because people expectations were that they would eventually choke this season.
