The Hatchling Buff is MUCH BETTER Than You Think

CLARIFICATION -> Non Precision Weapons could spawn threadings on multi kills before the change but it was random and typically took 4 to 5 or sometimes more kills to proc. But with this changes its now a Guaranteed 3 kills within 3 seconds. In addition to any precision kills on top of this. So the benefits to the change I talk about still apply.

i've got a pugilist and hatchling roll on my rufus's fury for a weavewalk threadling build, it's amazing for getting melee back to keep weavewalk up

The Hatchling changes combined with the recent hand cannon changes have left me feeling pleasantly surprised with the performance of Round Robin, specifically with Keep Away/Hatchling

@@AceInTheSpade I would also look back at Mykel's Reverence. Hatchling wasn't really practical on that as a rapid fire sidearm, but now that you can just unload and not worry about it, you can take advantage of combos like Unrelenting/Hatchling or Pugilist/Hatchling.

I have Demo + Hatchling on Marcato (suros strand MG) and it's incredible. Definitely worth chasing once it enters lost sector rotation (one day).

Ive been running enhanced demo/hatchling on my Rufus since the day I crafted it. Even before the buff it was good, just got better afterwards.

Same. Most of the gameplay you see is me using the Adept version of demo + hatchling. It's really fun on Hunter grapple melee builds since those kills reload the weapon thanks to demo.

The concept of Hatchling sold me on the perk from the very start: Hey, go shoot something in the face a bunch and an eldrictch horror grub will feast upon the fabric of your foes’ tangible presence in reality.

I use a Subsistence Hatchling Round Robin, and it is super funny how many shots you can get off without reloading. I think the micro rockets can trigger Threadlings, and the threadling kills count towards subsistence.

Don’t overlook the Marcato-45 strand machine gun! It’s a world drop, and can roll with demo/hatchling! Absolutely shreds with swarmers strand warlock

I just continue to find threadlings because there really isn’t an effective way to build into them. The only ones that count as any kind of “damage” are grenade based ones. The rest don’t really count as anything for damage purposes.

You can definitely build into them, especially if you are a warlock, and they do close to grapple melee damage. which can take out some chunky enemies on its own, so if you get a few threading to spawn near a yellow or orange by while add clearing they can do some hefty damage. Especially paired with unraveling rounds going, it can be surprisingly potent.

I think for min maxing strand builds and utility purposes, it's really good, but OFA is still typically going to be the best for higher level content as its completely free damage. No kills required. I use both, just depends on the content.

People get very stuck in their ways with what's familiar. It's definitely not Uber Mera but it is very useful I believe f9r builds.

Not necessarily. On Tusk youre stil only spawning 1 every 3 kills. Its the best on a precision weapon to double dip on both precision and rapid kills but explosive weapons like Tusk can’t double dip.

If I am getting 3 kills to spawn a threadlings I find that deconstruct refunding ammo for 3 kills in a wave might be better for most situations. Still farming a threadling roll because of the potential use cases in the future
