Because it's taken the Panthers 27 years to finally get back to a Cup Final, and because the future can be an uncertain one for any NHL club at any time, for that reason alone, I feel like I want to see the Panthers win. Yes, Bill Foley brashly stated back in 2017 'A Cup in 6 years, that's our expectation' for the Golden Knights, so they're practically right on schedule it would appear. But the Panthers have been such an electrifying story in these playoffs...yes, even after they laid waste to the Leafs ;-) ...that I really feel like I want to see the Panthers win & complete one of the greatest, Herculean playoff runs in recent memory. Fun Fact: The NBA and NHL both resulted in the same matchup. Both leagues have the best team in the West (Denver Nuggest and Vegas Golden Knights) going up against the last team to makw the playoffs in the East (Miami Heat and Florida Panthers). Edit: the simularities go even further. Both the Nuggets and Knights finished with the 4th best records in their respective leagues.

I’ll go even further, all four teams in the finals had a chance a sweep. Instead only one of each sport was allowed a sweep. The remaining two extended for ratings and profit. Almost seems rigged cause both NBA & NHL were squawking about a reverse sweep history, with two green jersey teams. I think a four way sweep would’ve been more historic.

The Dallas Stars season ended painfully but had a fantastic season overall. They Stanley Cup window is going to be massive between the strong young talent (Ottenger, Robertson, Hintz, Johnston, etc.) and a strong prospects pool lead by Logan Stankhoven and Liam Buschell. As for the Cup Final, Sergei Bobrovsky goes into monster mode and takes the Cup. Florida in 6! Also, Urinating Tree, please start doing more with hockey prospects. We have a fantastic CHL Memorial Cup Tournament going on right now. Also, events like the IIHF U18 & U20 World Championship’s, NCAA Ice Hockey Tournament would be great to do some video’s on in the future!

Has a Devils your summary of them is spot on. They were just not ready yet and need a a few more pieces. Also need their young core to keep developing, playing well, and take the next step. Hopefully the front office spends the teams cap room wisely and doesn't do anything too drastic. It will always be a successful season when the Devils get to knock the Rags out of the playoffs.

Even though I'm a big time Kraken fan, I was rooting for the Devils for ECF. I don't know how much of their turnaround is due to Meggan Duggan being put in charge of their player development, but a part of me likes to think she's helped those lads out a ton. For those who don't know who Meggan Duggan is: She's the current player development director for the NJD (starting as director in 2022, but joined the player development team in 2021), and prior to that she was the former captain of the US Women's Olympic Hockey Team and overall an amazing human being. Here's to hoping a Kraken vs Devils final next year!
