my first exposure to this was in high school shortly after the iPhone came out, talking to a friend about how stupid it was for people to buy a phone with a loan/'payment plan', and that if you can't afford to pay up front for it, you can't afford it. "You can't just say that! You don't get to decide what other people _deserve_ to have." I was completely dumbfounded. To me, it seems obvious that it's not a matter of what you deserve - life is never a matter of what you deserve - it's a matter of dealing with the circumstances you live in, fair or not. But the same mentality that encourages people to take out loans with 20% interest to buy a commodity also encourages people to just steal those things. It's entitlement. It's denial of the nature of the world, just like their anti-work mentality. Only being able to have things you can afford isn't oppression. Needing to work to live isn't oppression. It's just how the world works.

Leaving aside that it's a Crapple CrackBook and I'd sooner seize an infected genital lesion (and when this contract ends, you can bet that I'm gonna' return that CrackBook with the force and enthusiasm of a mass driver), I already have machines of my own, and mine are way nicer. I believe Hitler once said that they - the national socialist party - should nationalise people nstead of business. I believe this is a key element to understanding fascism, because it reveals that the fascist state does not look to socialise industry or business, but people instead. By socialising people, the fascist state effectively owns them, and by extension owns everything they own. This is why I dispute the idea that capitalism and fascism are in any way compatible, because the spirit of capitalism is independence.

What creeps me out the most is how a lot of "commies" tend to have an expansionist attitude with all concepts; just like the "everything is political" statement, the idea of lingering connections is probably used/abused and will be extended-out over time to mean more then whatever it's original definition suggested. I really don't want a precedence set for a connection and shared vested interest to go beyond what is necessary; especially when you consider this same mindset advocates severing the naturally-formed connections you have with your family and local/regional relations. What sense does it make to end voluntary connections to then sign up for involuntary ones? In fact, it's because of the non-stop shoplifting that you're seeing big-chain retail stores abandon parts of or wholesale Liberal/Democrat/Progressive-run cities -- too much money is being lost on stolen merchandise, and it costs money to restock what could eventually be even _more_ stolen merchandise.
