@@09f9 well if all goods were equal to all peoples this would be a very accurate statement its actually much worse then that. most store owners are not going to jack up the price of chips because a bunch of newports were stolen but all those who smoke would have to either deal with a shortage or an increase in the price to compensate. Conversely if someone where to steal water during a emergency/shortage the cost of the water is felt much more intensely by those who might need it such as the customers while the store owner will generally be able to aquire more of fairly easily and might not even care if it was stolen.

my first exposure to this was in high school shortly after the iPhone came out, talking to a friend about how stupid it was for people to buy a phone with a loan/'payment plan', and that if you can't afford to pay up front for it, you can't afford it. "You can't just say that! You don't get to decide what other people _deserve_ to have." I was completely dumbfounded. To me, it seems obvious that it's not a matter of what you deserve - life is never a matter of what you deserve - it's a matter of dealing with the circumstances you live in, fair or not. But the same mentality that encourages people to take out loans with 20% interest to buy a commodity also encourages people to just steal those things. It's entitlement. It's denial of the nature of the world, just like their anti-work mentality. Only being able to have things you can afford isn't oppression. Needing to work to live isn't oppression. It's just how the world works.

He did, however, hate that he had to work at all for the luxurious lifestyle that he enjoyed, and that there were people who had more than he did. The revolution is a rebellion against a reality that would dare to force an entitled socialist/communist to labour for the things they want because they lack the skills or drive to produce for themselves. The doctrine is merely ideological justification to explain why the Benevolent Leader/Party should effectively rule as tyrants, and history seems to suggest that there's no actual intention of having this power structure ever go away. Has there ever been even a single socialist/communist regime that let itself be dissolved, or did it always just turn out that the revolutionaries had simply made themselves the new ruling class by exploiting the ignorant?

It is the socialist/communist/collectivist mentality that says we have to all pull together for some common good. They are the ones breaking up small buisinesses in favor of centralised production. Free Market Capitalism under the watchful eye of a democratically elected small government is the best way thus far that we have been capable to invent. If left free, it is self-regulating, self-adapting and sustainable. Problem is, too much government interferance and corruption, not capitalism. Don't get me wrong though, Capitalism ain't perfect. Its almost never a can of soup, some fruit, or say some milk. My first job was at a grocery store. We constantly found, alcohol, candy, ear buds, hair die, condoms, and plenty of other stuff people could live without. Some would even pretend to shop and leave a cart of perishables just to steal those items listed. So now on top of theft, you also had cost of damaged goods if we didn't get to that stuff fast enough.

I work at a small software development shop (which kinda' grew out of a janitorial company). These days, I'm interacting with my boss _a lot_ because my job is to code. His is to basically manage the office politics, keep them off my back, and filter in the constructive criticism. In this, what _are_ the means of production? The computer? Leaving aside that it's a Crapple CrackBook and I'd sooner seize an infected genital lesion (and when this contract ends, you can bet that I'm gonna' return that CrackBook with the force and enthusiasm of a mass driver), I already have machines of my own, and mine are way nicer. Is the means of production my boss's brain? How would one seize something like that? (Other than literally, and I maaaaaaay be going out on a limb here, but I'm pretty sure seizing a human brain directly kinda' reduces its value... considerably.) The average person doesn't work at factories or on farms anymore. Some do, but those are basically the fewest specialists that our society can get away with doing those jobs. More often than not, the means of production are ideas. Plans. Strategies. You can't _seize_ that. You can only _learn_ it. Get with the times, filthy commies.

Capitalism has already given the original socialists everything they called for, but not what they really wanted. The "means of production" have been mass-produced to such an extent that you can buy a 3-d printer for less than the cost of a small car, and in many cases for less than the cost of a fancy suit of clothes. But what the socialists really wanted was control and power. That needs to be denied to them, or they'll unleash unrelenting horror on the rest of us.

The capital is mostly in labour contracts, other contracts and property (if lucky enough to not be renting office space), and they're only worth something because the government is willing to be a 3rd party arbitrator to enforce those contracts. I believe Hitler once said that they - the national socialist party - should nationalise people nstead of business. I believe this is a key element to understanding fascism, because it reveals that the fascist state does not look to socialise industry or business, but people instead. By socialising people, the fascist state effectively owns them, and by extension owns everything they own. This is why I dispute the idea that capitalism and fascism are in any way compatible, because the spirit of capitalism is independence.

What creeps me out the most is how a lot of "commies" tend to have an expansionist attitude with all concepts; just like the "everything is political" statement, the idea of lingering connections is probably used/abused and will be extended-out over time to mean more then whatever it's original definition suggested. I really don't want a precedence set for a connection and shared vested interest to go beyond what is necessary; especially when you consider this same mindset advocates severing the naturally-formed connections you have with your family and local/regional relations. What sense does it make to end voluntary connections to then sign up for involuntary ones? the trucker convoy was the most abuse I've seen in my life from thrbgov.. the attacking of vets, seniors women.. arresting and tossing people out in thrbmiddl of nowhere having them walk back to ottawa. I heard rumors of thrbstarlight tours the police did to natives and homeless where they froze to death.. didn't thinkbitbeas true. after the convoy it's 💯 teu. cops in Canada and gov murdered homeless and natives via freezing g them to death.

Thief being arrested = good. The part I'm not ok with is rummaging through the lady's purse. Also, pretty dangerous to follow her around. What if she got violent, or lead the owner to her drug dealer boyfriend who kills the owner and then destroys the evidence on her phone?

It was a ballsy move, but worth the message if you're able to get it out there. But also, I kinda see it similar to if someone murders a person. You're putting yourself in a grounds where you're saying you don't care about other people's property so now why should they care about yours? If I steal from someone, I'm breaking a mutual social contract, which now means that someone may steal from me. Therefore, I do not steal from others as to not be the aggravator of the contract.

That third tweet gave me a headache, Dev. Like, no amount of insurance in the world will ever help keep businesses big & small alive in this country if people keep on shoplifting. In fact, it's because of the non-stop shoplifting that you're seeing big-chain retail stores abandon parts of or wholesale Liberal/Democrat/Progressive-run cities -- too much money is being lost on stolen merchandise, and it costs money to restock what could eventually be even _more_ stolen merchandise. In the end, these businesses will fail or pack up and everyone will suffer for it. I know this is old news by now, but it's become a lot more relevant nowadays with how some of the big retail businesses have abandoned cities like Portland and San Francisco.
