@sockerc I agree, pointless bickering. Technically, it's thrash, but The Haunted was born out of the ashes of At The Gates, so it's no so strange that there are elements of melodic death in their music. That being said, they are incredibly powerful live!

@SilocybinSwe wow wikipedia best source ever xD maybe the riffs have some melodic deathmetal parts in it... but the shouting reminds of metalcore or hardcore... and thats what counts for me in the first place ... and many songs r way faster than this one what underlines the fact that the haunted r a thrash metal band... but i can live with the "death" metal elements in the riffs the one or other time ;)

even tough the performance of most metal vocalists deteriorate very quickly with time, dispite of all the techniques used, Phil Anselmo was able to keep it solid for 12 fuckin years with high pitch screams no one could pull out. In less than 10 years , both corey and james had to change their style to lengthen their careers

The original line-up was much better. I miss Dolving. The Marco Aro guy just doesn't have the passion like Dolving does.

Nope, Peter is the original singer and had been with the band for three years and one album when Marco took over. Peter returned when Marco left. But now Marco is back again, that's probably where your confusion comes from.
