The attic escape survives from the original storyline that Ron Howard voiced on vinyl so many years ago. The teens escaped from the attic window only to land in the graveyard. This is why the exterior of the house (as your doombuggy exits the attic window) looks like an old wooden haunted house and NOT a Gothic mansion. Most riders don't notice this beautiful detail since they are straining to see what's to their left in the graveyard. Thanks for another excellent vlog, Micah!

Thanks for sharing Micah! The story you told about falling to your death is what I have also been told about the story of the ride. I never forget when I discovered Google Earth and saw the show building for the very first time, it is absolutely brilliant that none of it is visible on ground level

Great video! When I was a castmember I got the chance to go on a tour of behind the scenes of several attractions and this was one of them. We were told that we were thrown out of the window to the graveyard below. Love the theming of this ride and it is my favorite WDW ride since I was a kid. LOVE IT!

Micah I remember hearing that the the hidden Mickey on the table was put there by the ride operators but the Imagineers are the only ones that can do a hidden Mickey So they would go back in and reset the dishes
