@aeontars10 ай бұрын
Would be neat to see Resistance troops running from Stormtroopers, residents of Batuu moving boxes on those floating platforms they use in SW (maybe the bottom would be hidden from the perspective, it could 'break down' and drop lower, then they could fix it and it'll start floating up again, etc), or Mando pushing bounties across that walkway.

Have you seen the Ordinary Adventures vid titled “Lightsaber battles & flying x-wings at galaxy’s Edge” ? Peter attended & filmed the media event for the launch of Rise of the Resistance @ DW which included what was no doubt the precursor to Rey & Kylo duel @ Starcruiser, X-Wing drones, & a fireworks show @ the end. As you say, why this isn’t a part of Galaxy’s edge on at least some sort of revolving basis (even just SW Nights / May 4th for starters) is beyond me.
@Riceball019 ай бұрын
@@dkarras My guess for why they didn't put a show of any kind there is because both Bobs are/were cheap and live entertainment is expensive. So not putting any sort of regular live entertainment there saves money. There might have also been concern about congestion. I've only been to Galaxy's Edge once and that was years ago so I don't remember how much space there by the "stage" area but they might have felt that based on how it was during the one or few times they had a show up there that the area might not be big enough to handle lots of people just standing around there watching the show and might create congestion around that area. But that's just a guess and is not based on aotid evidence.

This is genius analysis. Disney truly needs a change in leadership that purges the cheapskates. Disney needs to spend the money to WOW people. Disney delaying the implementation of the ride comes down to simple economics - in about 10 years after release, visitors and interest in Galaxy's Edge wanes and they start to lose profitability on the region. You need new rides and fresh things to keep interest up. Disney, for the first time, has intentionally designed-in upgradability and expansion into a part of the park. They didn't cut the ride or leave it out, they're just not ready to install it yet. The Star Wars Wedway People Mover will be installed eventually.

The side closest to fantasyland is prequel era, you get to the falcon and the shops, it's OG trilogy, you get past the shops, to rise, and it's sequel trilogy. They keep mindful of sight lines so you never see two characters interacting from the wrong eras, and then characters from any time could show in the park. Galaxies Edge has the construction of Tatooine. The talk is they changed the design to Batu, that of a different town at a different time, but it is obvious of what the original design was. When it originally opened, the "casual" alien and trader traffic didn't exist. There was supposed to be droids meandering through the park as well. Occasional X-wing air craft flying across the sky. All cut for the budget. (actually, much of it was placed behind a money wall and installed at the Galactic Starcruiser. We see some of the characters showing up now in small numbers and they usually do draw a crowd and turning of heads. The Bantha attraction was a cool idea. A complicated mechanical ride device that would have given rides to guests. I've heard some things about it, can't confirm any of it. The Bantha is sort of in a black hole and not much is escaping to be revealed. di$ney had experimented with devices that "mimic" a walking animal. Vehicles that can roll on wheels, yet the body will rock and roll like you are in rough terrain, or on the back of a Bantha, and walking animatronics that actually walk on legs (Lucky the Dinosaur). It is what GE needed and would have been really cool. I have not seen an actual walking Bantha in motion so I can't really say what or how it would have worked. The loading station does exist, will it ever be built?. For a park that di$ney wanted to hit you with hard to jump you into a different time line of Star Wars, they sure did cut the guts out of it, making it a very themed mall area. I am thinking they were depending on the Galactic Starcruiser guests showing up and chasing clues in Galaxies Edge to add to the"mystique " of the park as guests showed up in the proper atire, looking like cast members in full uniform. You have to admit, if they would have gone the full distance and created everything they said they would, the park would have had a more Star Wars Like reality. What we got, not so much.

Your titles undersell completely the content of your videos… There’s so much more details and deeper analysis in those haha thank you for your very valuable insights 😊

It was such an easy decision to add pod racing rollercoaster
@AScottB10 ай бұрын
No. There is no way DLand is putting in a ride that 4-8 people get on and that takes 5-10 minutes to return. So 83 people get to ride this thing in a day? Come on.
@TheFroneyZone10 ай бұрын
yep they really need to change the theme to the original trilogy and then they can put in a Speeder Bike chase - like a roller coaster except the rails / track are mostly on the ground. This will never happen either tho since current Disney execs have their heads so far up their arses that all they know is to give us Bantha poodoo and think we're gonna remain happy with it.

Say 4 people every 10 mins that's 24 people per hour if only one ride vehicle
@jacestringham702210 ай бұрын
I love it. I’m curious what you think the hourly throughput would be for this. The concept art makes it look like the ride vehicles don’t hold many guests.

6/8 people per creature, and big long track like this you could probably have 15 creatures going at once. That would be 120 folks at once, if ride time is 15 minutes that could be about 500 per hour. So not a ton but that’s all a real basic guess. Could be as much as a 1,000 if you could double vehicles. Would be very popular.

@@HeyBrickeycould you finish the last video for the series in which you were discussing the avengers e ticket quinjet ride? Your videos on that were amazing but the last video in your series wasn’t released/finished. Even though that ride was cancelled I’d still love to hear your ideas and thoughts on it. Lastly it would be awesome to hear your thoughts and speculations on what the avengers multiverse ride will be like (the replacement for the quinjet ride)x and what ride system it may use. Just was two things I was hoping for if possible. Also your video today was amazing as usual! It’s always awesome seeing what attractions we could have gotten!

@@HeyBrickey double or triple the ride vehicles. Instead of just one walking at a time, it's two or three (think of like two mules or three camels tied together in single file). That doubles or triples capacity. Then you add a section where a bantha is "spooked" by some probe droid or wild animal and it speeds along for a section to cut down ride time? Either way, I'd love to see this. Great work!
@patrickthetartarian71668 ай бұрын
The Bantha ride was meant to be a reference to the Pack Mule Ride in old Frontierland. Did anyone else notice this connection?

I’m obsessed with your channel holy smokes. How do you not have millions of subs
@ElecticalCheetah9 ай бұрын
You have to remember, its because of the location and the crowds of disney fans star wars fans and angry star war man-child fans who frequent the park area , Where they have employees on standby to turn people away if the area reaches the capacity limit

I did a 10 day Disney World and 3 days in Hollywood for this section of the park. Extremely fantastic with how they integrate the park with the Play App where you can do bounties, hack into props and control them, gather artifacts, control antennas and so on. Loved everything Star Wars and their Galaxy Edge, just wish they had more attractions in this area.

There are currently walking bantha sound effects all along your proposed ride path.

My wife grew up in the shadow of The Matterhorn, so it's not too much of a surprise she really does not like Disney, for what it's done to Anaheim. Be that as it may, I did manage to get her to go on a recent trip to CA, because I really wanted to see Galaxy's Edge. But more likely her bestie who still lives in Anaheim wanted to see it. She was suitably impressed and amazed. Keep making these videos! You may make a convert of her yet!

I would absolutely lose it if there were a critter ride. I rode an elephant once at a circus and it still blows my mind. But now that I want it, I'm in a perpetual state of heartbreak every time I go to Batuu and it's not there. I hope it comes, Brickey!

Either you have love of people and their experience, or you have love of money and are constantly calculating costs with bean counters. Good companies under promise and over deliver. Most companies over promise and under deliver.

It was for the stunt show. They did a version of it in opening ceremony then decided to cut it. That was supposed to be permanent. I was a tech on the event team.

There was basically going to be a story that repeated everyday, much like what ended up being at Starcruiser, and that show was just a piece of the whole story and other shows that would happen during the day.
