Here I visit Holy Cross Church, Felsted to investigate the mausoleum of the Riche family.
On this investigation one of the oddest EVP`s is captured in a strange place, and I get the opportunity to share this experience with you, which I hope you`ll rate.
Music: Kevin Macleod @ www.incompetech....
Richard Rich, 1st Baron Rich (1496/7 12 June 1567), was Lord Chancellor during the reign of King Edward VI of England. He was the founder of Felsted School in Essex in 1564.
Thomas More told Rich at the time of More's trial that he was reputed light of his tongue, a great dicer and gamester, and not of any commendable fame; but he was a commissioner of the peace in Hertfordshire in 1528, and in the next autumn became reader at the Middle Temple.
Rich was an executor of the will of King Henry VIII, on which much suspicion has been thrown, and on 26 February 1548 he became Baron Rich of Leez. In the next month he succeeded Wriothesley as chancellor, an office in which he found full scope for the business and legal ability he undoubtedly possessed. He supported Protector Somerset in his reforms in church matters, in the prosecution of his brother Thomas Seymour, and in the rest of his policy until the crisis of his fortunes in October 1549, when he deserted to Warwick (afterwards Northumberland), and presided over the trial of his former chief. His daughter had married Warwick's eldest son, Henry (1526-1544/5; died at Boulougne). He was one of the subscribers of the device of 21 June 1553 settling the crown on Lady Jane Grey, but swiftly abandoned his support (as indeed almost everyone did). During the final years of Henry's, Edward's, and Mary's reigns, he was in favor of whatever religion was in power; he was not Catholic enough to oppose the persecution of the Church under Somerset and Northumberland, and he enthusiastically persecuted Protestants during Mary's reign.

Dave: Your ancestors could have lived in Colchester during General Fairfax`s seige in 1648 I believe - during the second English Civil War. The walls were torn down after the seige by Fairfax to stop the Royalists using it again. The town occupants were at the time, Parliamentarian. Regarding day and night. I think spirit prefers the quieter hours, and of course better for us in detection. But I believe places are active 24 hours a day. Thanks for commenting:)

Chris, right after you say "I certainly feel a degree of pride" @5.13 there appears to be an orb rise up right in front of you. Its very clear, almost as if its a sign of agreement with you. It looks like it might have gone in your right ear, as you reacted with a raise of your eyebrows at that very second. Impressive stuff once again.

Hiya Seany, It`s deliberately made this way to give background and substance to where it was filmed. I think most viewers enjoyed this, as it`s a departure from the norm. It kind of makes you feel that you were there - particularly for our friends and viewers from overseas who wouldn`t ordinarily in their lifetime be able to enjoy these beautiful places. But our next video will have a short intro:) Speak soon Sean:)

I have to agree with you there Chris, for all its pomp & ceremony way back then, I can't say that it was all that easy to live...regardless of station? I'd like to think that he may have had very little choice, given that old Henry was keen on using the axe, guess it was a case of dog eat dog....hasn't changed much has it LOL; only they don't off someones head nowa-days. *I did try to write to you about a few things that have happened in my family but I could send it as I was blocked? Thankyou for your compliments:) The trouble with EVP is that it`s subjective to it`s interpretation by the brain. If it`s Class `A` with no residual background sound, then most will agree on what was heard. The last example here was such a clip, but what he is saying is beyond me! Very strange.

hi Chris, My great grandfather migrated to the colonies in 1672 from Essex County, but from Coulchester, the used to be walled city. Wouldn't you know a daylight confirmation would appear when you didn't have a camera in your hands. Thats the old catch 22, I guess. I'm guessing that dayligh confirmation lights such as the one in Corner are rare, The EVP made up for that cnfirmation. I've often wondered if there are difference in sightings between day and night. Good video. Dave Stacey

I enjoy the series. One question, why would the clothing manifest with entities unless they are not really there but projecting images to our minds and hearts? As a Christian I am wary of contact with the deceased but tradition of Christianity is resplendent with Saints and Angels communing with the living and dead and The Triune Godhead.

Bravo! Just looking at the are in the video, I can sense plenty of residual "activity" & wish I could make a trip over to the UK & Europe to encounter the atmosphere, as the USA is still quite young in comparison to your "stomping grounds" & while there are plenty of Native American, Pilgrm, early settler & elemental spirits to be encountered 'round my region, I feel that there is a bit more energy, perhaps more vibrant, in the UK region due to influence of the ocean/sea being so near. Thanks.
