I didn't like them at first either, I don't know what it was. But I saw them live when they toured with Dark Tranquillity a few years ago and they blew me away. Went home to listen to their music again and fell in love! Their lyrics are amazing and their songs are fresh~

I'm so glad I got to see The Haunted with Peter in May 2010. I was at the front barrier for the entire show screaming my head off to every single song, so eventually Peter shoved the mic in my face during the "I swear by the flag and the bible, and my own mother's grave" part of this song. Someone took a picture of it, too. A great memory for me.

@guxt65 I agree that peter uses alot of aggressive screaming in his songs, doesn't mean it's not music, the guitar riffery is excellent alot of haunted tunes - music can be aggressive and melodic at the same time, made me do it is my favorite album by the haunted :-) Plus singers can keep it up for a long time - cannibal corpse as one example. There is technique in all that chaos some people use it others don't - the ones that don't blow their voice out
