Has anyone asked Rowan how old he is? Because I'm begining to believe hes only like 14 or 15 but no one has noticed because hes huge and has a deep voice. Like they all think hes an adult thats kinda weird and dim, when really hes just a child thats in desperate need of familial connection and in awe of everything hes seeing.

I love Gruff's grumpy dad energy compared to the rest of the party. Kim has come so far as a roleplayer since Lightfall.

I also love the accent. I can tell it's taking some effort for Kim but it's so worth it! I think a character's voice contributes a lot to the mental image I build of them, like Lucius in Aerois and all Mark's wonderful NPCs. Gruff is shaping up as a real favourite this campaign for me, along with the fascinating glimpse into Rhiannon's mind that is Ophelia.

Mark's roll playing the kids was awesome! I wish I had a group as good as you all back in the 80's when we played AD&D. The old school game. It would have been a lot of fun. the two sisters of the eliptical order, remind me of my own dnd game with my friend. we play a pair of dragonborn brothers.(Though look a lot closer to xanthas, rather than full dragonborn, but they do transform into full dragonborns via their classes) My friend plays Havoc, the tall, strong powerful beast barbarian. W;hile I play a small (5' dragonborn compared to his brother who is like 6'10 -7 feet tall) , weak and sickly undead warlock named Yo'han. who havoc has to constantly look out for.

Since snake oil has been mentioned, I feel like it should be said that _genuine_ snake oil (from chinese water snakes) actually has some minor medicinal properties. The reason it became synonymous with quackery is that quack doctors a.) prescribed it for _everything_ instead of just an ointment for muscle aches and b.) started selling _fake_ snake oil because the real stuff was actually pretty expensive :P.

I *loved* the Raistlin inspiration, although there were a few points of the characterisation that made it a Mark Hulmes original; in particular, I think Raistlin was more driven by personal ambition (or hunger, or emptiness) rather than an apparently "holy" cause. He also seemed more often habitually contemptuous of his twin, especially in his "early phase". Edit: Just listening to Jolene Khor's music on their website... OMG! That is some *seriously* badass memorable composition! 😍
