It's based off of Kintsugi, or Kintsukuroi! It's the process of repairing ceramics traditionally with lacquer and gold, leaving a gold seam where the cracks were. It makes the newly repaired object look more refined. I just thought that was so cool! 🤩

It's strange that its name resembles Polteageist when it's actually supposed to be the equivalent of Sinistea. Even in Japanese Sinistea is called Yabacha, Polteageist is called Pottodesu (pot death) and this new Poltchageist is called Chadesu (cha death). considering the tea master that "fainted from exhaustion" was not seen again and had his belongings passed to other people, we can assume he died and that was just being censored. and the fact that THATS being censored makes me feel like all the other "falling asleep" is also just kill being censored. after all, you wouldn't casually talk about murder in front of a bunch of little kids, so it makes sense for the in universe narrator to censor it.
