Hi Christina! Love this video. I just started back up tracking my macros. I have been lifting for...over 25 years now, but I feel like upping the protein and eating more frequently (I was IF'ing too) has made me a lot stronger! It is so fun!!! Thx for sharing.

☕ Non-negotiables: Make-up and clean clothes everyday. This might seem a little too baseline to most people, but being a full time gardener these can easily slip away when all I see are plants all day. I do it for me and have learned that rose bushes like my lipstick. 🌿💚

When my 2.5-year-old woke me up at 5:30 this morning, I was miserable. But the quote you shared at the beginning of this video was so worth it! I often get lost on the whirlwind that is raising a toddler and a baby, having a dog and leading a good relationship with my partner, whilst also trying to keep up with household, friends, family.... But I have to remind myself that there are these little ways I can invest in myself and that those nightly wake ups are a part of my life and I will probably miss snuggling him back to sleep one day! And they are a part of my son's life too ❤ and I would rather him remember how cuddly I was than how cranky😢

☕️ I like to start my day drinking a 12 oz glass of water, then drinking that first magical cup of coffee and spending the first 15-30 minutes listening to some music. I am trying to break the habit of grabbing my phone and reading work email, which can spike my feelings of stress and is not a good way to start the day. I also workout in the morning which helps boost my energy. Yes to daily sunscreen and simple skin care too!! Great video!!❤

Christina Yay!!!!! I too was massively under eating / intermittent fasting for FIVE YEARS during perimenopause. Sure at first I lost a few pounds - but then - since fasting is only one tool to use strategically - it stopped working. My trainer told me I’d have to hit certain macro goals if I wanted to build lean muscle. I’m eating breakfast again and LOVE it! Thanks for modelling this for women as an alternate to intermittent fasting ❤🎉

I love this! I have recently adopted the get dressed every day habit as well. As someone who works from home for about half of each week, sometimes I lack the motivation to wear anything other than sweats. I’ve found it to be energizing and fun to actually get dressed for each day, regardless of the day ahead! ❤☕️

I just try not to beat myself up and make it up later in the week if I can ❤ I find I try not to go 2 days in a row of skipping anything, bc mentally it’s hard for me to get back into the routine. So knowing that fact keeps me consistent too.

the more accustomed & excited about your routine, you get to know when you're actually 'too tired' rather than just kind of tired. it does more harm than good to strain your body just for the sake of consistency. i, personally, don't even have 'make up' days.

Intermittent fasting along with going plant based reversed pre diabetes, got my cholesterol and triglycerides into normal range, and lost weight to where I have normal BMI. @@youtimeful You're probably not after my story lol but I do 16:8 or 18:6, usually eating between 10am to 6pm or 12pm to 6pm, but if going out to dinner, it's no big deal, I will eat past 6pm. The longest fast I've done is 48h, I think I can go longer but it's hard to fit that around a social life. What's more important to you? Breakfast or dinner?

☕ I'm more of a homebody so my daily basics centre more around keeping the house clean and tidy. I walk or ride my bike around the neighbourhood a few times a week after dinner so I don't wear sunscreen but I do take supplements like vitamin D. Since I don't leave the home to work, keeping up on personal care like brushing my hair every day is something I have to make a conscious daily habit.

I like the daily budgeting non-negotiable. I will have to try it out. Sounds more manageable by intentionally confronting it rather than when your bank account forces you to deal with it. I have been focusing on my nutrition and fitness again after prolonged lockdowns so I was happy to see you mention daily movement. Pros are improved sleep and eating more for me. The con is increased laundry days. 😂 Would love to see a video on what you eat in a day when you train for ideas!

I have been working on establishing a few new habits. It’s tough. What do the experts say, it takes 3 wks to form a habit? After many failures at trying intermittent fasting, I have realized that I am a breakfast person. I have been ever since I was a little kid. So I made my new habit no eating after 6 pm, but I tea and keep it to 5 pm. I’m also upping my water game, and have the same ginormous water bottle that you have. I have also struggled with terrible acid reflux, and started drinking 2 TBS of apple cider vinegar in a cup of water everyday. It has changed my gut life!! It’s taken me much longer than 3 weeks to get that habit to stick but it’s made me feel like a new person.

Hi christina! i´ve following you since a couple of years and i really enjoy this kind of videos. Can i make you a suggestion? Im form Spain and here the most common thing is to eat in the table. Try to eat in a proper table and not in the sofa (the most of the people usually eats in the sofa watching the tv),eat in a proper table, makes you eat with a good posture, which leads into a better digestion, apart from eat in a table without tv or internet allows you to eat in a more mindfully way and if you eat with people you can focus more in the social part of the meal, it´s one of the bases of the cultural gastronomy in mediterranean places. Try it! you will not regret it.
