The HEART of DOLOMITI FRIULANE - Campanile di Val Montanaia

I'm back in the spectacular area of Dolomiti Friulane to explore a valley that I am totally in love with: Val Montanaia. It's a narrow valley with crazy mountains all around and an incredible tower called "Campanile di Val Montanaia" standing out in the middle. Weather was far from being perfect at the beginning, but waiting the key to get good photos.
I set my tent close to the Bivacco Perugini (it's not allowed to sleep in bivaks in this Covid-19 period) and waited for the clouds to disappear!

Premetto che non sono mai stao un grande appassionato di riprese con il drone, solitamente quando guardo un video su YT e partono le riprese dal drone mando avanti. Tutto questo è accadeva regolarmente, fino a quando non ho visto questo video. Ora mi son reso conto di cosa può fare questo marchingenio nelle mani di una persona di talento. Mi hai fatto cambiare idea sul drone. Nelle mani giuste e con il giusto scenario si possono fare delle riprese pazzesche.

Salut Bruno. J'ai effectué plusieurs randonnées cette fin de saison dans les Dolomites et je dois dire que ce qui impressionne au premier abord (pour moi, c'était ma première visite), en découvrant ces montagnes, ce sont leur gigantisme. Cette vidéo est de toute beauté, le drone renforce la vision de tous ces sommets déchiquetés, ciselés, tous les détails se révèlent et on ne peut qu'être admiratif, de la beauté de ce spectacle. Formidable cette sublime vision de la voie lactée avec ce pic montagneux solitaire, un régal pour les yeux ! Tu as du talent pour filmer et tu en fais profiter les autres, un grand merci à toi.

Amazing place. What a pity you couldn't hike to the top that night because a shot of the Milky Way from there must be amazing. I still wonder how you can hike that high with such a big backpack hahaha. I went to the Matterhorn, walking from Zermatt to Riffelseee overnight with a 65 liter backpack, I think around 20kg in total, and it was a pain. I am trying to lighten weight on my hiking gear for future adventures.
