People just don’t remember how different he was back then and how sure it might not sound super different or creative today because his styles and things he came up with have just become common place in rap these days. Sigh

If you wonder why Eminem is so reserved and keeps to himself, it is because when he became famous, everything about his life was open to the public. He put a lot of his family and legal issues in songs, while the media dug up more that didn't make it into his music. Countless news stories and documentaries were made about his troubled life. Today, Eminem is super private. He regrets a lot of the personal stuff that were made public. He just wants privacy for his family and himself. I can respect that

Most people only view him for his music but forget he is a human being like the rest of us who had to overcome trauma, addiction, losing Ronnie and Proof, raising his daughter during his feud with Kim, etc. He is still here at 51 years old and I am certainly thankful for his music.

In a way, I think his writing and making music provided him the therapeutic & emotional outlet that without which, his life may have gone down a much more frequently traveled path. I wish I could meet him someday. IDK why but he's the only celebrity I can think of that would totally render me speechless - and if you knew me- you'd understand that is very hard to accomplish haha ☘

It’s funny because nowadays people mostly rap about how rich they are. Which is cool for sure, but Eminem truly spoke about one’s troubled mind. This man doesn’t fear touching on subjects like suicide, dark thoughts, angry thoughts, ups and downs, he keeps it so fucking real. He really is the greatest artist of all times! Such an inspiring human, warts and all.

Man had an extremely shitty life from the day he was born well into his 20s. He was involved in some bad shit and he suffered a lot. But the fact that he broke the chain of abuse and did whatever he could to keep his daughter away from all the bad things that were happening. The way he tried to shield her from the evil in his life. That takes a lot of strength, to not let your darkness consume everyone around you too. He was a pretty messed up guy doing some pretty messed up things and having some pretty messed up relationships with almost everyone in his life, but Hailee gave him the will to live. And he protected her as best he could. She turned out pretty well too, a respectable young woman who lives a good life. And it is for that reason that, no matter how I feel about feel about some of the things he has done or the way he can be sometimes, I respect the hell out of Eminem.

The track "Lose Yourself" is a track I always return to when I am wavering. It's so easy to lose the courage needed to move through life, " Lose Yourself " helps me to remember I am strong and that nothing and no one can hurt me, that I deserve the life of my choosing.

Em became the spokesmen for the victims of the bullied! He did what he loved doing and spoke & stood his ground to be where he is today after the Trials & Tribulations of Strugglements that he had endured and so he turned it into Poetry Expression of Rap!! Love him for that!

Eminem's hardships and developments made him who he is today. Love him or hate him, he escaped and buried his family's history from repeating itself and save his nieces as well. He deserves the current life all along with his daughters. Fragile but stronger

This is insane, I always read about the past trauma of bad people but not the ones of the good people, the ones I look up to right in front of me. I feel one of the main things that didn’t make him overload from all his stress was the fact he was really good at writing interpersonally, so he was always able to get it out and not bottle it up.

To this day ,I rock out to Eminem! A 67 year old lady who worked in a gas station! I would play his music every chance I could. What a life he had to over come! He is truly a hero! having your only friend murdered would be unbearable growing up the way he did! I hope nothing but the best for this guy! A true genius! A North Dakota fan!

People that weren't alive or were too young to remember what it was like during Em's prime won't realize the way he took the game by storm, he was an entire cultural movement, opened the doors for Detroit, white teenagers around the world were bleaching their hair. You don't have to like his music but realize that he is a living legend, it's just sad that when an artist outlives their prime they are no longer respected like they once were.

I think gen z fails to realize how much sacrifice had to go into trying to make it big back in the 90s and warly 2000s because the internet was still a baby and you had to actually have talent and go out and make a name for yourself (unless you had connections from being a nepo). Today it's still HARD, but you can have "fake" fame a lot easier with social media and gaining followers

When you look at the life he's endured, his achievements become all the more outstanding. He was set up in a way that could only fail yet managed to make something out of it and most of all, avoided making the same mistakes with his daughter as the ones made by his own mother and his ex-wife.
