@ His parents do good stuff with him. Take him on camping trips and what not. But it’s really just a matter of time. If your kid keeps doing bad stuff, then you’re gonna start to jump to conclusions. Also the reason why Henry’s parents aren’t doing much stuff with him is to show what kids shouldn’t do. That’s the lesson of the show, don’t be selfish, or think before you do.

His family dynamic is EXACTLY like a toxic family...If you wanted to write a toxic family, this is how you do it point for point, mainly because a LOT of Toxic Parents who have two or more children will often pick one child as the Golden Child, and the other as The Scapegoat often with things that are said like "Why aren't you more like him?"...and the parents love is NOT unconditional...It's either be the perfect child or be ostracized in the family...Well, NONE OF THEM ASKED TO BE BORN, NOW DID THEY?!

After seeing that episode with backstory where we seen that Henry does sort of care about Peter (Cuz if he would die he couldn't torture him anymore) We seen that Henry used to be a carring protective child, but even back then his parents breathed him for it. I watched 'Wicked' today and there was a similar scene there, with little Elphie protecting baby Nessa. It's always the oldest one who's blamed. Expecially if they are unplanned. It isn't always childs fault. Some parents are just cruel. Like those of Horrid Henry and Perfect Peter's.

My theory is that Henry only acts out for his parents to see him. I generally think that it used to be just Henry and the Dad, but the Dad lost his wife, so the Dad remarried the Mom we see today, and a few years later, they had Peter. They felt like the prefect family was just the 3, excluding Henry. Henry has issues from losing his Mom and wasn't properly given support.
