Thx for the vid. Can you angle it fully to get it league pop ups that go far with the lite flight or heater foam balls. I'm wondering if the ball feeder won't work properly with the machine angled totally upwards to simulate fly balls. And how far approx do foam balls go. Hardball probably can't go to far, I'd imagine. But if foam balls go 260- 280 feet, with the ball feeder working properly, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Looking to do solo Outfield work.

That’s a great idea for out-fielding . I think if you turned it around 180 from the pitching mound you would get rhetorical distance you want. I’m pretty sure the angle straight up or many way won’t affect the feeder. I think I’ll try this week with the boys on outfield pitches to see how it works.

@Francis_Lee75 Thanks. Definitely let me know. And how close you can get to home plate to simulate decent fly balls and or how many feet. Thanks.

Also a critical step you skipped and I can tell you skipped it by the shine coming off the wheel. You are supposed to rough up the wheel and remove any shine from it before use. This will help the wheel grip the balls better and deliver move accurate throws and more consistently hits the strike zone. Use sandpaper.

How much this machine?

I believe it was $280 on eBay when we bought it.

You should bring it closer. You can run motor slower but the shorter distance will mimic a faster pitch due to reaction time. Also closing the gap will slightly help with accuracy.

And how does it do with the synthetic balls ive heard they ruin them but that’s all I have
@Francis_Lee759 ай бұрын
Yes it certainly ruins them almost instantly. The become misshaped,warped and loped sided. They launch very sporadically and wild after one or two pitches. Making them unreliable for testing speed and distance for setting the machine

How’s this machine treating you now?

We used it a few more times after that and it worked well. We have not used it since the fire. The machine was saved as well as the legs but the automatic feeder burned and we have yet to replace it.

I have the same machine. It tits on. Set it up 45 feet from plate, aim it, fine tune with screw on side. 9 out of ten right down the middle the tenth 4 to 6 inches off still a strike. Wait 8 seconds between pitches for the wheel to get to speed. It’s a great portable machine. Run mine on a generator at baseball practice for pitching and fly balls in out field. I would buy again. 2 months use. 2000 to 2500 balls no problems. Make sure you check tire pressure before first use and once a month. Yellow heater dimple balls work best.
