I even joked around that it'll take a solid day or less before his original 3 hour video is gonna take down by one of the music labels. My first playthrough of New Vegas was with a maxed-out INT, high-Science build. When I discovered that I could tweak the Bright Brotherhood's flight path to correct their destination, that felt like it validated my entire character. Despite being little more than a skill check and a karma boost, I felt legitimately proud to know that I was helping these fictional characters truly get to where they wanted to go. I couldn't even bring myself to sabotage their journey with my second playthrough's INT 1 character. Even as a drooling caveman I refused to touch the control console, because I knew that Gruh? (my character's actual name, because this game lets you put punctuation marks into your name) wouldn't want to hurt their chances of finding a better home.

There's 2 dead money experiences, 1 you go in too early everything is extremely tough and the entire dlc is a pain and gain scenario, 2 you're overleveled and even with limited weapons you can triple tap almost everything with the police pistol and ultimately the entire experience feels far too easy

Honest Hearts is the weakest of the bunch, it's decent but Joshua Graham's phenomenal dialogue is carrying that DLC on his back, everything else about it is just OK.

The reason dead money is so good is simple, it's a breath of fresh but toxic air when compared to the main game. Characters, world building and atmosphere aside, this dlc is like survival horor and since i like resident evil, yeah this one's definitely my fav, not to mention i get saw x oceans elevel vibes from it. Only flaw was the villa level design, because it looks too similar and i always still get lost in it

i remember yoinking all the gold bars, popping a stealth boy to sneak past elijah, and then spending like 45 minutes just slowly walking (get the perk that means you can fast travel whilst over-encumbered). it was great. gold bars, snowglobes, blackjack with 9-10 luck, high barter. you basically won't have money problems ever again.

For you to experience dead money the right way you have to be in a certain level where killing the dudes doesn't feels too easy nor too hard, I luckily got to it in that level and my experience was awesome, my favorite dlc so far.

The way to deal with the bloatfly is to use a .357 revolver and hide just infront of the rock infront of the bloatfly. Because the boatfly fires from its stinger, and you from above the rock, you should be fine while the boatfly tries to move around the rock to hit you.

Your situation with the ghouls was literally my first time playing this game, my first playthrough I had no idea of anything, I helped the people in primm then I didn't know what else to do, barely did anything in the starting city then I found the sattelite and followed it, barely survived and completed the ghoul quest, loved it, but then I was lost again, that's when I uninstalled the game and gave up after a while.
