Vast majority of eastern europe that the soviets supposedly "liberated" (which would be Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, etc.) ended up becoming communist puppet states, forming the infamous Soviet "Iron Curtain". again. They never "liberated" anything. All they did was take them from Nazi control and place them under Soviet control instead. Nothing but a change in management.

The funny part is that the UCN didn't even authorize the invasion of Helghan. The UCA fleet that dealt with the Helghast Third Army left some of their cruisers behind so the ISA could reinstate the Helghan blockade, but the ISA shat on their superior and just invaded the planet instead. Then Vekta capitulates, but due to Stahl's private plans for Earth genocide, Captain Narville ignores those orders. Somewhat fair. But when Stahl's cruiser is wrecked and unable to stay in orbit, what do they do instead of allow it to land? They drop a nuke on it. Half of Vekta being given up is probably a result of the ISA's neglect. Not once, but twice, to Earth's command.

@@krispymoofin Visari nuked Pyrrhus with an ISA warhead as a way to spur his people ever past the edge of reason. Any of Helghast that weren't completely loyal to him were executed after completing their part in the bombing. The Helghast as a people were raised up by a madman and fueled with the idea of exacting vengeance against the people that forced them to live in a veritable hellhole because they weren't convenient.
