theres a theory that your character is 1 of an entire squadron of similar kitted Helldivers and that every death results in one more of that squadron being defrosted and shot into battle its supported because at the start of the game you do basic training and at the end enter a pod that freezes you and you are they taken up into a shuttle but if you look to your left and right the shuttle is lined with pods full of frozen helldivers
