I'm sure there are haters now that you have gone crazy with the build, but if you follow along since the beginning we get to see the capability of stock, lightly modded, moderately modded, and now high end modded. We have seen how each expands capability and you have shown that over varied terrain and environments. I am really looking forward to seeing how this massive jump up in capability changes the offroad performance. I also appreciate the behind the scenes at various shops and why decisions were made. Finally, the editing, camera work, and dialogue are spot on. You are doing what many can only dream of and I thank you for bringing us along on the journey.

Thomas Ehrhart dude!!! You have hit the nail on the head. I’ve been reading comments of people unsubscribing because we are too built and they don’t ever plan to build their jeep this much and want us to stay more stock so they can see what the jeep is capable of but I really think we already showed that. We showed the limits of 33s 35s 37s 38s. The channel and build has only progressed so quickly due to us being able to wheel all over the country so often. So therefore the build happens more quickly. I’m glad you and lots of others understand

It's so awesome to see the evolution of the Step Child. From delivery to first baby steps on the trails. Then growing more to do work pulling a trailer to now at this point as a young adult to take on the world with the big jeeps. They grow up so quickly! 🚙

Kevin and Brittany have evolved into instructors with very good explanation and insight around their modifications. It's great when Brittany allows Kevin to finish a sentence (and, entertaining when she doesn't). But both are clearly passionate, relevant, and knowledgeable. Well done.

This build has been truly epic! Going V8 and new axles and new shafts and everything else makes this the most comprehensive build up I have ever seen for a vehicle that will be driven on the road everyday and then off road when the spirit moves you. Absolutely epic build! I have seen builds that are all street and no dirt. I have seen some that are all dirt and no street. This beats them both. Jelly!!!! It is not nice to eat the bump stops. Momma said no.

Of course, this was when surfing, included offroading to get there! Last year, I had the 3 rigs (Baja, 1st Gen 4Runner, & '87 Suburban) built and ready for this year to surf from NorCal to Mexico! Lite brite RULES! Let me count the reasons. You guys rock, you've always educated us and make us a part of your experience and learning curve. This whole process has been awesome but I can see on Kevin's face he's about worn down and will be glad when your both cruising away from traffic and toward the trails to run out a trial test. I know Britney can't wait to be saying "driver.... passenger" either! I'm excited to see the last of the goodies put on. At this point its probably a great time to get rid of your room, get a comfy toy hauler /trailer for your new place to live and be 100% committed and on the road 24/7 as you are already. It feels that's the ending conclusion, so far I'm batting spot on. You can still keep your Colorado residence by having a storage facility where you store your trailer for when you go on an overseas visit somewhere....... then when years down the road you can park that bad boy on some beautiful spot and reflect on all the Happy living you've done and the adventures still planned. Nobody DOES IT BETTER. I LOVE EVERYTHING About you guys. Your my favorite folks on You tube or anywhere. I know you'll be happy to leave the concrete jungle and all of the traffic...... But heck......Its been worth it. I can see those splitting smiles on your faces as you hit the road. Relax have a rest and beach day....... yeh ......you'll both be tinkering until your finished. Thanks again for another quality vidio. Great supervision job Jelly!

I have my small town daily driver 1982 Jeep Wagoneer with original 258 six cylinder engine that matches the V.I.N. I live in Tucumcari,NM. Zero rust. Even on the lift, no rust anywhere. Was used on a ranch since 1985 and has mud tires. All oils changed and clean. All original including seats and paint. A few cow horn dings, but that is all. Taking offers. Runs perfect Shows 133 k and has the one in the beginning correct for that year. No lift or any modifications and even the original AM/ FM radio that still works with static as was normal for the day. Taking offers. I bought it in Mora,NM from a ranch 3 years ago. I am not in a hurry to sell, but I am getting old and you know how that goes. Vehicle has always been garaged in a barn.
@Grumpy_old_Boot
@Grumpy_old_Boot 5 жыл бұрын
Oh, that's pretty cool - That could be a lovely overlanding vehicle, I'm sure. :) As for getting old, allow me to regale you a story of my grandmother. At the age of 97, she decided that the retirement home, was kinda boring. So she got herself, and a handful of other old codgers, into an old VW bus, they drove 1500 miles across Europe, including going over the Andes mountains. And when she returned home, they asked her if she wasn't scared, to which she answered "I have a pacemaker, what should I be scared about"? So, I say to you, out there, in the barn, is an adventure sitting, waiting for you to get going. 😁

I know I was one of the people saying coilovers but I would guess if anything you'll at least end up going with Kings. Those 6 packs don't look like they'll handle those big axel and motor. I could be wrong but that's my guess. Looks sweet.

@2fuzzies 5 жыл бұрын
Broke front axle shock mount off a few months ago. Teraflex has a good, easy to install limit strap kit. Russel speed bleeders for a fast, one person brake bleed. Also peruse for teraflex brake line anchors for the front. Keep brake and ABS lines from rubbing and pinching when turning. But wait.... there's more. Teraflex spring retainer kit, cheap insurance to keep springs from falling out. I also installed rubber zerk caps on everything with a zerk, protect from mud, dirt etc. It's the little details that are easily overlooked that can bring down a $100k jeep in the middle of nowhere. Shiney side up, rubber side down.

Nice. Along with the tech on sizes and the flange style, what about the type of yokes as well as the clasp for the joint in the yoke...I think its your front axle yoke that has the ubolt style yoke whereas your rear axle yoke is a strap with 2 bolts. Thought the straps were lesser than the ubolt style.
@zmotorsports62
@zmotorsports62 5 жыл бұрын
Glad to see you do two things. First is adding limiting straps rather than relying on your shocks and secondly glad to see you're not going coil overs. Too many people put coil overs as the end all be all and in reality as long as your coils support the weight and the shocks controls the rebound and you are getting decent upstroke and droop with coils, there's no reason to go to coil overs. I've seen too many people go to coilovers and they were not needed as they had other limiting factors to their suspension. But hey, they have coilovers. Mike
