Excellent lesson. It took me years to start understanding how Hendrix worked his magic, but this lesson crystallized the whole concept for me now, all these years later. Brilliant instruction!

I love how you do this and teach this. I stopped playing session work in the late 80s, but I have never forgotten how important it is to be melodic. You explained it beautifully. I just wished my left thumb where as long as yours so I could grab a base note with it and still play cleanly up top. Mine is too short.

I thought this was a typical clickbait title but clicked anyway, of course, but it's great information beautifully explained.

The melodic fragment includes the piece of the chord, and the bass note is also part of the chord.

The melodic fragments often consist of a suspended 4 chord resolving back to the 1.

😂 JIMI HENDRIX in 3 easy steps you say 🛑 it 😂
@johncarlo73956 ай бұрын
Wrong pickup combination and tone, Jimi didn't use two pickups at the same time, he was about ninety% neck pick up only, but the playing was fairly accurate.

No such thing as a wrong tone, use what you enjoy. I thought it sounded great.
