FRELIX, listen to a lot of Jimi Hendrix bass players bass lines because they aren't playing the root note of the chord tone. He made a lot of albums with billy cox which hendrix started using different root notes for the bass players bass lines which you can make video lessons about. Jimmy Page would use this trick because eddie kramer told him about it which zeppelin also uses unusual bass lines at certain spots

Black Sabbath 70's era , does it also 👌✨️
@waynegram8907 Жыл бұрын
@@HighVybeTribe yes true but it would be nice to have video lessons pointing out the sections when it happens. I know GNR the bassist mostly uses the 4th instead of the root, which I'm not sure why. Hendrix later albums after 69 has a lot of studio tracks with the bassline using different roots

Very nice distortion here. Which pedal/amp did you use in this lesson?
@FretlixGuitar9 ай бұрын
Hi. I used a Kemper profiler for this video. I use one for all of my filming as it makes it easier for sound but also sounds great :) The amp profile was a divided by 13 at a medium gain for the valve breakup crunch sound. You could get a similar sound from a tube amp cranked a bit or a clean amp with an overdrive pedal(tube screamer or similar) set with a medium/low gain. Hope that helps :)
