It is too good man. I use levels adjustment later , than curve adjustment layer for so many months and years. You changed me completely.

FYI: in the "Generate Normal Map" menu, tehere is an option at below which you can select preview mode. Select texture map so you will see the preview on a flat surface so it s way easy to do the adjustment. Sphere is mostly for 3D artists.

Haven't seen a tutorial like the ones you post here, I appreciate the step by step explanations of every buttons you click on Ps and it helps a lot to people like me who tends to forget every step once the video is over and needs to go back for refresher course. I just wonder, do you somehow teach in a tech school somewhere? Coz I wanna enroll in your class! Thank you for all your tutorials and posting as much secrets as you can share with us here without asking anything in return. 🙌

A Normal map is an RGB map that has a different lighting angle for surface details for each channel. R, G and B, that's why it looks this funky with the blue tint and everything. Now, what this means is that you can isolate a channel and light it from a certain direction. In this video you're creating surface details by desaturating the normal map. Have you tried isolating one channel, for example Green and use that as the soft light layer? This is useful if you want to accentuate the details in the photo but be consistent with the direction the light comes from in the photo.

@Overxpossed
@Overxpossed 4 жыл бұрын
