I like to make sage bundles to burn as incense. Sometimes i put lavender in them depending on my mood and intent. My teacher at Monterey Peninsula College taught me to take lots of cuttings and put them into terracotta pots halfway filled (or less. Shallow is good.) with sand and watered in occasionally and put in indirect light to shade. They have to spread their roots looking for water. It works great! Thank you so much for your content Mrs. Gamble! You are an inspiration and i am grateful for your work and content. 😊

You are wonderfull, i love your videos! Im starting the lavender just now from seeds, looks like they are two different types of it..... One is lavender vera and the other just lavender or it was french lavender?! Not sure, they coyld be the same.... Growing it for first time. I really want to fill my small city garden with that plant, probably im not gonna eat it, just for the looks and smell.

Thank you for another great clip, I'm enjoying your channel! Question : Is it true that if you plant lavender around more ''vulnerable'' crops, it deters rodents? All my produce (SE QLD) is being devoured by rats and mice as they ripen 😞

I always see lavender as the purple flowers, but when I bought young lavender plants from my local nursery they grew into what I see in this video, the pale rosemary type plant, no flowers at all. I was awfully confused. So just to confirm this is OK to ingest?

I learned something interesting about lavender this year: I tried to duplicate my lovely lavender bush but it wouldn't sprout, so I started doing research what could have gone wrong, and do you know what I found out? Apparently, my lavender is a so called "lavandin" (lavandula x intermedia), a hybrid of the official lavender (l. angustifolia) and the broadleaved lavender (l. Latifolia), and this hybrid is a) sterile and b) not calming but invigorating in its effect! This explains why its blossoms next to my pillow have never helped me sleep!
