If you had a root canal, then you must have taken antibiotics which killed the good bacteria in your gut & most likely caused an overgrowth of yeast(Candida) which can wreak havoc on your digestive system! There is also a chance you might have H-pylori or Gastritis, which will make you feel absolutely miserable! Hopefully, you can see a doctor soon. It took just a few days and I started to feel better. Was 80% better after 1 month. And now I’m close to 100% better, it’s amazing. I highly recommend trying it!

@@Barbarosa1234 I will have to give it a try, I was on a clean/whole foods diet for most of my life (fresh/frozen produce, nothing premade, anything that wasn't natural I was extremely sensitive to growing up) along with have a variety of teas and herbal medicines (I used to be into holistic medicines but I haven't been able to afford it) and my digestive just kept getting worse over the years. I have heard that if acute Diverticulitis can cause SIBO if left untreated for a long period of time so I am wondering if that is the case because there really wasn't anything in my diet that was 'bad' in that sense to cause SIBO and I even double checked with my nutritionist and she's even curious as to how the SIBO could have formed with my diet being so clean. Now I'm stuck with Liquid diets because anything solid for the last 2 years just causes too much pain in both large and small intestines.

What does a deficiency in copper do to digestion?
@toddlesiak38372 жыл бұрын
Cooper doesn't really have much to do with digestion, but if you don't have enough or strong enough stomach acid, then it's harder to absorb all vitamins & minerals, & being deficient in copper(which is pretty rare) will cause many other kinds of problems such as feeling cold, hair loss, gray hair(copper is a pigment) irregular heartbeat, thyroid problems, & bone fractures. Cooper & Zinc compete with each other for absorption, so it's good to take them together to prevent low levels of one or the other. Many supplements contain both Copper & Zinc to prevent this issue
@stormer63642 жыл бұрын
@@toddlesiak3837 thanks for the reply, I'll take that onboard, might have my level checked
@toddlesiak38372 жыл бұрын
@@stormer6364 You're welcome. I wouldn't even worry about doing that because copper deficiency is actually pretty rare. Just make sure you eat some shellfish, mushrooms, leafy greens, dried apricots, figs, & some nuts & seeds once in a while & you'll get more than enough copper from your diet. If you like liver, that's also a huge plus because it's a superfood that also contains lots of copper. Potatoes, peanuts, avocado, & dried pears also contain lots of copper, so most ppl have very little to worry about. You don't have to stuff yourself with all these foods because copper is just a trace mineral that you just need a bit of. Just eat some of these foods every week & you'll be "golden"

@toddlesiak38372 жыл бұрын
@@stormer6364 I'm glad you're starting to feel better. Yeah, the overuse of proton pump inhibitors is starting to become a fairly large problem. Most ppl think they have a problem with too much stomach acid, when in fact they usually don't have enough which can cause the valve in your esophagus to stay open leading to acid reflux & GERD. The Mediterranean KETO diet is the healthiest diet of them all. Just make sure you're getting enough potassium & magnesium in your diet or risk suffering from the dreaded "KETO flu." Dr. Ken Berry has a great product called KETO CHOW, & Dr. Berg has a great electrolyte powder. Both of these products are great for ppl on KETO.

I’ve been doing IF for a year so far and I’ve got the same problem. I’m 99% sure it’s SIBO but I haven’t done any tests yet. In my opinion this is not due to IF in itself, but since you’re restricting your eating window it’s also likely that you’re hungrier when it’s time to eat your first meal (which in my case it’s lunch because I skip breakfast, and I tend to eat a lot at lunch, especially vegetables, which I know doesn’t help but I love them so much 😅). I don’t know if that is your case but it’s the first thing that comes to mind. I’ve been taking oregano oil after meals for 3 weeks but haven’t noticed any real improvement yet. When I wake up in the morning I feel wow and then after lunch I just feel 6 months pregnant. So my advice is: try eating smaller and more frequent meals and reduce your overall fiber intake. I still have to try this myself but it should work fine. Good luck 🍀

This makes me wonder about the efficacy of the Gracie Diet. They developed it over 60 years ago, the Gracie's being the best fighting family on the planet and responsible for both the invention of brazilian jiu jitsu (aka gracie jiu jitsu) AND the UFC. They have three generations of family doing the diet, have written a book about it, and other people -- particularly jiu jitsu people -- like to use it. It's your standard healthy diet with lots of fruits and veggies with almost no processed foods. But they go further and divide foods into six groups. Some can be combined, some can't. And the entire idea is the ease of digestion. When I first heard of it it sounded unnecessarily complicated but having done a version of it now for about six weeks I have to say there's likely something to it. It feels like this topic is a good place to bring it up, and something that might be good to investigate if for just the clicks from the jiu jitsu community. Also, it wouldn't be hard to get Rorian on the channel. Not only is he specifically the one who started the UFC, two of his sons - Ryron and Rener run Gracie University and have developed the modern jiu jitsu curriculum which they teach to normal people (like me) as well as law enforcement and military, but he also wrote the Gracie Diet book.

Reducing the starches helps and there are other things that can help kill off the excess yeast in the small intestines. A quality ginger and other food grade essential oils can be added to tea, which when it reaches the small intestines, acts like a bacteria killer, killing off these critters. Oregano oil is another essential oil that is used for this purpose. Of course, you can use these spices in certain dishes where they can have the same effect. Be careful with essential oils because the good ones are very potent and a little goes a long way.

Interesting comment, I'll look into that some more. I had some short term issues as I adjusted my diet a while back then added ginger to my evening meal smoothie and noticed a quick improvement. I know ginger helps with digestion so partly added it for that but mainly did as I played around with different ingredients for the smoothie for taste. In general the key to a diet change seems to be to introduce new stuff slowly to allow your guts to adapt.

It was extremely frustrating. But I discovered Atrantil 2 months ago, and it’s really worked for me! I’m back to eating anything I want (though I eat Keto / Low Carb) and hardly have any bloating or constipation now. (Even eating garlic and onions again, which are a no-no on FODMAP). It’s such a relief. Feel like I have my life back. I’d highly recommend the Atrantil.

@@infiniteg7852 After 2 months on Atrantil I’m as close to no bloating and regular (daily) bowel movements as before I first got SIBO symptoms. I’m thrilled! I plan to keep taking it for a bit longer, and then wean myself from it and see if any symptoms return. No side effects for me. But my improvement wasn’t linear, more like a roller coaster! I learned that’s normal during the bacteria “die off” phase. Atrantil works by killing the problematic archaebacteria (Which antibiotics are not able to kill) which produce methane and hydrogen gases which in turn cause the bloating, constipation, diarrhea. But during the “die off”, bloating and GI issues can get worse. When it did I would take extra dose, sometimes double the daily dose, and that worked for me. It took about a month for everything to settle, and my bloating and GI issues dramatically improved. As for keto, YES, I lost 15 of the 20 lbs I put on during Covid. Also low carb helps remove a big food source for the bad gut bacteria - so double win. I plan to stick with keto. Important to keep electrolytes up on Keto though. Hope you find relief from your SIBO, I know how frustrating it can be.

I used to be a big fan but Thomas` videos are like an Ad Bomb, always trying to push us into something and frankly speaking I prefer the old school Thomas who was genuine about spreading good information and caring for the audience well being. Usubscribing right now.

@@vikasvashisth6631 Carbs are important, I agree. But we have mechanisms to store carbs, therefore there's no need to over indulge. Keep watching the channel.

Leave meat for minimum of 60 days and i am sure u won't go back unless u r compelled by your senses
@dontfit63802 жыл бұрын
@@vikasvashisth6631 of course you’ll be compelled by your senses. It’s called malnutrition and starvation. Just type in sick vegans on KZbin. The only reason most go vegan is because they have been convinced by PETA people to feel sorry for the animals. They would rather destroy their own bodies then kill an animal to nourish themselves. It’s a sickness, a mental illness.

Do your research because That’s bullshit by the way carnivore is one of the biggest cons put around ever for farmers to make extra money and it’s also not good for animals if you have any care for anything.
